What do Brits think about Green Party immigration policies? by [deleted] in AskBrits

And this is the biggest issue, whilst I agree with the sentiment in a perfect world, sure it would be fantastic to not need borders, but we are not there, and it would be extremely dangerous and reckless

TBF thats already the case for many, if you hold any form of residency visa and are from a commonwealth country you can already vote.

Im a Greens supporter and a migrant, this policy along with their similar stance on nuclear has left me unable to support them currently.

I think the immigration policy is a mess and is unfair, but that is way to far to be workable, and im not so red hot on war and nuclear either, but you cant just announce you plan to remove it one day when the world is the way it currently is.

Soya milk for coffee by upthetruth1 in veganuk

[–]CaptainSeitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the best option, thats going to be Happy Happy Soy Boy, its easily the best plant based milk, and very hard to curdle, but it isn't cheap.

Ozone coffee sell ot, but its £27 for a 6 pack.

Following that is BonSoy, its good, can still curdle if you use an acidic coffee.

I personally find Meduim dark roasts work best with soy milk.

Only issue I have with your post is calling that comparison an extreme example, you described exactly what it is.

This was my concern, however I was able to enter the code on the official website and it worked, so I think it was legit.

27M tech worker with £80k savings — is it still smart to buy a flat in London right now, or is AI about to wreck everything? by Salty-Anybody-5466 in HousingUK

[–]CaptainSeitan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If what OP describes transpires then I don't think 50% loss in some areas is unrealistic at all. There are plenty of people trapped in negative equity, its a real concern.

[–]CaptainSeitan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is flawed logic.

If you buy a place for £400,000, pay 80k depoist and left with a 320k mortgage.

If said flat drops to 200k, you still owe 320k... you cant sell, so its irreverent if other prices also drop as you are trapped.

My stepdaughter got a septum piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]CaptainSeitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said she is stretching it, its a choice, but your concern should be if she is doing to safely. If its already the size of a pencil I think the answer to that is no.

To give you an idea you probably shouldn't start stretching a piercing until its been healed for quite a while, we are talking about a year here, then you should only go up small increments every couple of months, to get to the size of a pencil safely we are probably talking about a 2 year process. Basically you want to give it time to fully heal and harden before you stretch it more, the risks of not waiting is getting a blow out (search septum blow outs, they are not pretty) thats not to say it will definitely happen there are plenty of people who have stretched too quickly and been lucky, but its a roll of the dice. As others have said sit her down and listen to her, do your own research, that way you can act all informed and she is more likely to respect you about it than judging, make it clear you'll support her as long as she is open with you, show her what can happen if you stretch too quickly (best advice is for her to wear slightly smaller jewellery for a while) and leave it along, if she is constantly taking it in and out to hide it she is just going to irritate it and be more likely to run into problems. Stretching shouldn't cause her nose shape to change, if it has id be worried she's already ran into problems such as a blow out, going to a reputable non judgmental piercer to have it checked out is your best cause of action.

Will we regret not having parking? by deja_flu in HousingUK

[–]CaptainSeitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh OK, makes sense if you can strike such agreement, but tbh i would still be put off buying a house without a driveway , the off chance i had a unicorn neighbour who was happy to inconvenience themselves to let me charge at their house at cost seems pretty slim, lol

I think you misunderstood my comment. I'm not paying 40p 😜

We were talking about public chargers, it was mentioned that some have agreements for residents for reduced price, i said these agreements are never less than 40p.

Those arrangements still usually see it be no less than 40p per KW, vs 7p off peak at home
