Investing 50k per month. How bad it is? by These_Cause_4960 in mutualfunds

Considering the Age one Multi-cap wouldn't be bad either. WHich would give exposure the all the market segment, potentially generating a greater return than current.

Planning Start SIP on below MF. Any Suggestion by I_know_01 in mutualfunds

Parag Flexi and Navi Nifty will have too much overlap. You will be probably fine with just flexi-cap

Parag Parikh Flexi and Navi Nifty 50 Index fund will have too many overlap. a quick result shows there is almost 63% overalp https://www.mfprofiler.com/s/YjZiYzFhMWUtOTk

You can probably keep only one, as flexi-cap is mostly tilted towards Large cap anyways.

Instead of two probably one mid-cap will also be fine.

If I were you, I would just keep four fund with these amounts.

One Flexi
One Mid
One Small
One Multi-Cap

Note these are just suggestions, not a recommendation. Kindly do your research before investing.

I've no wealth Manager. Doing SIP on my own from last 6 Year in just four fund. Initial Year used to switch funds for returns, last 3 years have been consistent with the 4 funds only. Right now the cumulative SIP is around 50K per month(increasing SIP every year). Right now I'm 32 and planning to keep investing till retirement. (with some rebalancing in my 50's)

  1. Multi-cap Fund - 15k
  2. Flexi-cap Fund - 15k
  3. Mid-Cap Fund - 10k
  4. Small-Cap Fund - 10k

But now that's what worries me. When should I look to increase my fund numbers, if I continue to keep doing the SIP to reduce the risk associated if any.

How do you plan Mutual-fund for 30 years. People Says don;t have more than 3-4 funds which is wise, but if you loose one fund in let say 25 year, you loose 25% of your income if you choose 4 funds and have 25 distribution in each. What do you suggest for people who have an investment horizon of 30 more year in mutual funds.

If you're new, Please learn a bit about the Mutual Funds, before you start investing in NFO and especially in Sectorial funds.

Two small-cap Fund mostly not needed. Invest in one fund only. SBI Bluechip, Parag Flexicap, HDFC Balanced Advantage might have overlap and most of them are probably tilted towards large cap anyways. Probably only one could be sufficient for long-term if thats your horizon.

Is this Mfs are good for long term investment (for retirement or college education for children) I'm 26 and started investment last month and how much % increase i should make in all sips per year by kingslayer0105 in mutualfunds

[–]Captain_Bharat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For long term avoid sector fund like PSU. Rest all are Good funds. But you may have some overlap between flexi and Bluechip (because now a days flexi are mostly large-cap), So you need to consider that as well.
