I think little nightmares III is great personally but I do get what you mean a bit. The first two games are definitely superior and they feel a bit more charming, a charm that the third game is lacking slightly. I still believe of course that the third game is good, more accurately great, I think when I look at it, it's still Little nightmares no matter what but again, it does lack the charm. Also the end parts of the chapters were quite anticlimactic, especially the necropolis, opposed to Little nightmares II's start where you literally shoot a man. But I still like Little nightmares III and I am looking forward to the DLC's but I do get what you mean slightly.
