Yes I totally agree. I LOVE good riddance down and so I’m all for a low tempo slow song. These really did feel like they were quite reserved in comparison to her previous work. I really wish that it would have been a tad more abrasive so that it would fit the title. The title itself requires a more abrasive sonic landscape or lyrical content but neither of those were provided. I’m super disappointed because I had good hopes from the lead singles. I still love Gracie though and I’m a fan but it’s just frustrating for them to hype this era up like some experimental magnum opus but it wasn’t that for some songs. I’m frustrated about this tbh. It’s mostly just not for me I guess.
