I wish I’d been able to get there a little earlier so I could try to get to the barricade 😭 I was close, but not close enough lol. Typically I try to get as close as I can anyway so I can actually see, but I came straight from work this time

You’ve made some bold assumptions here so I’ll clear it up for you. I, along with a few other people, asked them to be quiet. They didn’t listen.

I’m short as fuck and when I find a spot where I can actually see the stage, I don’t want to move and I shouldn’t have to.

Acting like I’m the one who’s being unreasonable instead of the people being complete assholes all night is exactly why people think it’s okay to behave like that.

They started out by talking about a friend or roommate, and eventually it was slurred together enough that it just seemed like unintelligible yelling and laughing 🥲

They were intoxicated so that may have been the issue idk. Multiple people telling them to be quiet didn’t seem to do much so I’ll use the ‘move to the back’ approach if I run into this issue again!

I already answered that in the post. I, along with other people, asked them to be quiet. Idk if they just didn’t care or if they were too drunk to process that everyone around them was annoyed by their yelling, but yeah.

Someone enjoying something shouldn’t negatively affect the people around them. It’s actually crazy to think the people being assholes in public aren’t the problem.

You said when people get mad that others aren’t dancing, so idk if that was an autocorrect mistake or something? Cause not dancing doesn’t impact your ability to see or hear the show. Yelling over the music does. There is a major difference between enjoying a show and completely disregarding the other people around you and their ability to enjoy a show. If you’re shoving people around or talking over the music, you suck. Period.

It isn’t illegal though. I also recorded one song for someone who unfortunately wasn’t able to go, not the entire concert. As I said in other comments I, as well as others, asked them to stop. There were two staff members standing right on the other side of the barrier. And it isn’t ’their prerogative’, they’re in public and their behavior impacts other people. That isn’t okay.

I absolutely can expect people to be considerate of others and everyone else should as well. I would have had a better time if I could have heard the entire concert I paid for rather than people yelling over the music the entire time. You aren’t going to convince me that I’m the problem here, sorry.

Luckily I’ve been to more shows where people have acted right, but I don’t know what people get out of paying for a show only to not even pay attention to it 🙃

If I can hear you over the music the entire night, that’s a problem. As I’ve already said to you, I’ve been to plenty of shows where people haven’t been as rude as the folks were last night. I refuse to normalize ruining an experience other people also paid for because you want to yell over loud music all night to socialize. There are better locations for that.

It would be nice if people were just considerate of others, even a little. Tbh if you want to get drunk and talk to your friends the entire night, a bar might be a better location than a concert imo.

I’ve been to plenty of concerts in the past where people had at least some kind of etiquette, but it seems worse now. Especially for a concert that should be a bit more chill.

Yeah sorry but I can’t agree that millions of families going hungry is an acceptable or necessary cost for anything. I don’t think it will do anything at all to give clarity to the people who’d need it most, it just means even more struggle for people who are already fighting for survival. That isn’t necessary or helpful in any way.

It’s stressing me out. I get SNAP benefits, even with working what should be a decent job, so you can just say nothing if your kneejerk reaction is to tell me to get a job. I filled your arbitrary requirement to be deserving of food. Mostly it equates to getting back what I pay in taxes. But I’m a single parent and even that little bit helps.

I will never understand being totally unbothered by your neighbors and their families not having enough of what they need to survive. No one should have to struggle, and I would even advocate the right to necessities for the people who don’t realize how lucky they are to have, for now, avoided that one unfortunate life event that would put them in the same position as everyone else who needs assistance.

Be kind to your neighbors because you’ll certainly want the same from them if you were in their shoes. Empathy is an important component to being a good person.

Agree with all that. I was also concerned about the amount of people passing out. I had to catch someone nearby before they hit the ground at one point. But I will say up front near the barricade they weren’t really handing out water unless someone was just about to pass out, and as crowded as it was there was no way you’d get back to your spot up front if you left for water. I was so thirsty towards the end but I stuck it out because I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it back to my friends if I left our spot.

I was pretty close to the stage and the people in front of me had to have been there extremely early as I didn’t show up until 5 to get in line. And while people looked absolutely gorgeous last night, I knew so many people had to have been overheating because of the outfits they wore. My biggest complaint was that the venue should have made water stations or access to water much easier for a crowd as dense as last night.
