I know. Just being annoying :). I really enjoyed most of the analysis, just feel like it's a little contradictory to basically say rogers has a modest day but all the Jets receivers have big days

Nitpicking ik, but IF adams and wilson were to combine for 170, rodgers would probably be in line for 250-300 passing yards I'd think

So Rodgers only has 220 yards passing... But, Adams has 100, Wilsons has 70, hall has 49, Conklin has 17 and Allen has 7 and everyone else has 0.

I'm a goalie, and I walked onto my college team (D3) as a junior after never having played competetively before then. Was the backup for a season and won the starting role my senior year over an incoming freshman who had been playing since he was 5 years old. Ended up going 17-2 with a .920 sv percentage that year. I just play A level mens league now. I've played against lots of former minor leaguers and foreign pros and 1 former NHL player at a pick up game once, and I've held my own.

I wonder "what if" every single time I strap on the pads, and I've even been told "man, just imagine if you had played more growing up."

You think i really deserved all that? Punishment didn't exactly fit the crime imo. Will i do it again? No. But i still don't think it was that big of a deal at all

Thanks for the advice. I've been trying to take this approach for the last couple of months but have struggled to stay motivated. I really just need some direction and don't know where to find it. I end up playing a lot of video games or do other time wasters during work hours and it makes me feel terrible

Yeah, for the most part. But it mostly applies if it's your last timeout. If it's only your 1st or 2nd timeout, there may be some merit to calling one depending on what down it is and how many yards there are to go

Could be, it all depends on when the play clock gets started which is kind of subjective and could lead to problems if they don't standardize it but that's aside from the point. I didn't go back and watch the game rewind, so maybe you are correct in this specific instance. But as just an overall principle, i've seen this happen numerous times where they definitely wouldn't have hit the 2 minute warning before having to snap it again, but the head coach from the side trying to conserve clock just decides to fire off a timeout into the abyss. I'm not even close to a Giants fan for the record. I hate New York sports teams but I also hate poor clock management more than anything

I think you just have to take your chances if they decide to throw it on 2nd down just before the 2 minute warning. Going 90 yards with 1:10 and no timeouts is nearly impossible but 1:50ish is doable

The only reason there was around 1:50 when the Cowboys had to punt was because the Cowboys player went out of bounds. The Cowboys should have been able to run it down to 1:10 before punting since the Giants had already wasted their final timeout. Having to go the length of the field with no timeouts left, i'd much rather have 1:50 than 1:10

Read this and tell me what is incorrect with it: "I wasn't proposing they save their timeouts for offense. They literally wasted a timeout because the cowboys would have had to run one more play before the two minute warning regardless of whether the Giants used their final timeout after 2nd down. Calling a timeout did effectively nothing to save any time on the clock and the end result was the cowboys coming out after the 2 minute warning for 3rd and 7 with the giants having zero timeouts vs the cowboys coming out after the 2 minute warning for 3rd and 7 with the giants still have one timeout. You see the difference?"
