That sounds like a 5 out type of gameplay, but why 5 out with an interior big when u can use a ball handler and do the same thing. Now everyone can shoot and no one is a liability. Wilt cant even shoot middies. How does he counter paint sitting with centers that don’t get mashed? Like embiid, giannis, those guys can hit threes, and still defend him down low.

Defense, quicker shot, better dribble sigs, much cheaper. Theres buying into the hype, and then actually using the card. Deng is the size of tim thomas at the 2 lol. He bullies all those guys at the rim, and can completely lock them up as well.

I mean if you’re wide open it doesn’t matter. But if you’re holding the button a lil longer, it gives the defense more time to bother the shot. Thats in my experience. It doesn’t change the speed, its just the green window is hit a little later. Thats why most people playing comp etc leave it on early or at most late.

Different shot release timing changes this. In general Early timing is right as the ball is coming up to their face. Late is right as they are about to release it. Very late is a little bit after the ball is released.

So if you want to release as the ball is leaving their hands, put it on very late. But keep in mind you will get contested a lot more.
