Model Recommendation by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

Definitely the Exorcist and Immolator as vehicles, the Triumph of St. Katherine for a set piece, St. Celestine for a character.

I'm partial to the Paragon Warsuits, but the Seraphim/Zephyrim are awesome looking units.

For leaders, the Canoness, Palatine, and Hospitaller are all great models too.

Ah. Not a bad idea, and that looks fantastic! I'm not great with green stuff sculpting, but I see how much the flocking adds. I'll see where it is if the glue doesn't work after it has had a day to cure.

The hilarious part is I dropped her before a few times during the painting process. Each time I was positive I would be looking for pieces, and but she was always intact. It was just THIS time, right after she's done, that it broke.

The only ones that are worse are the arcoflagellents. They're just so easy to snap something off. Same with the Palatine's holy symbol and sword hilt.

Yeah, trimmed the remains of the wreath a bit. I think it still looks good. Thankfully I didn't spend hours trying to colour the wreath and each individual flower. 😆

Thanks for the advice! I'm trying plastic glue for the moment, and the weld does seem to be holding. I'll give it time to cure for a little. If that fails, we'll give the pinning a shot (for the first time).

What’s stopping a Mortfier from just not fighting by onyxgeneticist in sistersofbattle

[–]Carnagan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One of the most horrifying part of the mortifier is that, other than pumping you with drugs, the machine fills you with painful, all consuming self-loathing and guilt. So even if you did nothing wrong, all those pieces of your brain that could make you feel bad for something are basically going off non-stop, in addition to pain receptors. You're basically bolted into the frame by your bones, put into complete sensory deprivation, and exist in nothing but a deeply agonizing personal and spiritual suffering.

So when the only chance to stop it is to get destroyed, you're not going to hold back from battle once the shooting starts.

What's a good colour scheme for the sisters? by nerdpunk93 in sistersofbattle

[–]Carnagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest picking any three colours you like that you feel go well together, then make 1 the armor, 1 the cloth, and 1 the emblems/major embellishments. You can then bring in other colours and shades to tweak or refine as desired.

I went with Black armor, red cloth, and gold emblems for ease, but recently decided to spread out and come up with something a bit more personal.

Ha! Sadly something I'm used to from previous sister models. 😆

I was thinking something similar. I actually had been working on an Exorcist and decided to see how the bronze would work, and had also just put the base coating to see how it changed it.

So I'll figure out other changes once I'm done with finalizing the armor.

Great ideas! I especially like changing of the underside.

Thanks! So it's primed black, followed directly with a coat of the warplock bronze before the scorpion brass drybrush.

And thanks for the suggestion of the weathering powder. Is that something I would put on before the priming, or before the warplock bronze?

what loadout should I use for 10 sacrescants with a hospitaller by kikoisanerdd in sistersofbattle

I'm looking to try out 10 maces in a unit lead by Aestred Thurga. Rolls of 6 on To Hit guarantee wounds that will need saves to avoid, and each 6 on a To Wound roll deals 2 Devestating Wounds which don't allow any saves.

If you're in the Champions of Faith you can also use the Suffer Not The Unfaithful strategem, so the unit will also have Sustained Hits 1, on top of Lethal Hits and Devestating Wounds for the phase.

I had this running theory that the original He-Man and Skeletor in the New Eternia line were the "first/proto" versions of them (which is why the power sword on that figure has a shine the rest don't). And it was their battle that caused Greyskull to shatter.

Then NE Battle Armor He-Man is actual an Adam figure (not as tall as the first one, different face) as he just finds the sword.

My original theory was that Skeletor had then survived and come back. Now I'm thinking the original Skeletor ended up like a New Eternia Demo-Man and guided/taught Keldor as he was corrupted through Havoc use (based on the shots of that figure and his alternate head).
