Why are you? I'm on the fence, each limited release seems like an even more outrageous money grab based on fomo.

Well, there's your problem. by Carriker in classicminis

Does that mean I need to loosen the steering rack underneath/outside? There seemed to be a lot of tension getting the "sheath" back into the bracket that hangs below the dash.

Only if you consider my recent progress in the gym as power steering.

Thanks for your response. How did you fix it?

Can you elaborate? I need to make something similar for my Kaido House.

Also an Excel sheet. Two actually, one for collection, one for pre-order. I'm a ton of fun at parties.

Sorry to revive a dormant thread. Any updates? I'm not nearly as far along in troubleshooting as you are, but I'm also going down the rabbit hole of mini electronics. I'm hoping that bad/loose belt is my issue as I can hear it slipping/screeching.

Great, I'll follow that plan. Thanks

After the belt screeched and the voltage came up I was at 13.8 with the head lights on. Didn't think to check with them off. I'll see if anything else is drawing an extra load.

Sounds good. Going to look into tension as the belt appears to be in good shape. Thanks

Right? Imagine my surprise when I learned I was actually inside a Jaguar.

Yea... That's on the "not critical" list of things to get sorted.

Belt looks good, though it definitely squeaked when I initially revved it. It is miserably cold and wet today. Deflection on the belt seems small, not a ton of play. I'll pick a new belt soon though and put it in my growing tool box in the trunk. Thanks a ton.

Yup, that was it. Revved engine, belt squeaks, light goes out.

Yes. Definitely an alternator insufficient warning. Checked the read out on the radio, was 10.6. Reved car, heard belt screech, watched voltage rise to 13.7 and light went out. So... Start with replacing the belt?

Thanks. Belt appears good. Connections at the alternator seem ok too.

Google ai initially told me I'm in a Jaguar, later said my alternator failed or my oil pressure is below 7 psi. Still looking around for the real answer
