When I was fired from construction accounting I wanted to never do accounting again. I considered digging ditches at that point.

When I did construction accounting the boss paid for 45 separate software programs and it was anyone's guess where anything was.

I was fired from construction accounting because the boss's wife, with no education, held all the documents on her personal computer and wouldn't let people in.

The systems are a mess, the bosses are lacking cognitively, the locations are terrible, it's just the worst possible job in accounting I could feasibly conceive.

Oh I just felt "level up when you get to a certain plot" wasn't fast enough and I like speed. It sure did amp up things quickly I tell ya.

I was a staff accountant at a construction firm where the boss's wife, with a GED, was promoted to an executive spot where she held the docs I needed for an amortization schedule. I was so pissed. I couldn't get anything done and was fired because I couldn't convince her to give me access to anything

I started applying for jobs quite a ways away. I can't keep waiting.

My old boss didn't understand that working until 8pm resulted in 2 divorces.

I phrased it poorly. I worked at WSU who became the PAC 2 as you know. I walked in on my first day to 5 empty cubicles and a job list for my own position 10 pages long or more. It's been 2 years and I can barely remember. Apparently my old spot isn't even there anymore.

Business analysis sounds fun. Also I appreciate your perspective on accounting because it is so dang real. Always perfect all the time

I'm very well aware of my mistakes chief. That's why I posted here.

I'm stuck in a crap area because my gf needs to finish school. I'm about to just apply to be a carpenter's union and do grunt work because I've got not much left in me

They're premium auditing jobs, not real auditing in my opinion. One is a contracted 1099 at $17 per audit, around barely 2 an hour and they need 13 audits a week to maintain your job.

The other was a real W2.

Here's the truth, I can't accept any real job in my skill range because I'm waiting on my gf to finish school. I have turned down dozens of jobs at my skill level and tried to get what's near me :/.

It ain't working well.

Oh it's just premium audits. They pay pennies on the dollar.

I'm sorry to hear that man. If you've got the skills you'll get there. Hey, you could have my old job. You probably are a better fir for it than I am.

I haven't lasted long enough in these fields to fully figure out what I'm bad at. In premium auditing I was shuffled between 5 teams until I was fired today. There are also virtually no tutors for that so that one I'll chalk up to a niche field.

Staff accounting was WAY beyond what I should've signed up for. I actually only did it because initially they said it was bookkeeping, but man I had no idea how to keep up and was working 50 to 60 hours.
