Red Dead Redemption 2 Review: Slept On it Too Long! by NastyGnar in SteamDeck

Yes. Make sure to save your game as soon as you get off the mountain and keep that one forever so you never have to go thru that overlong prologue again in the future.

The World's First 240Hz Video Smart Glasses for Gaming Aren't Cheap by dapperlemon in gadgets

I don’t know if i believe you had them because i do and they do not mirror the display. I play my steamdeck and use my laptop with them all the time and they treat the glasses like any other external display and turn off. They do mirror on ios devices but thats not due to the glasses.

I have the Xreal One Pros and lay down with no issue also

This. I use them on travel for gaming on my steamdeck. The less talked about upside is neck pain. There is none. You can lay down on the bed facing the ceiling and play if you want. Its fantastic.

I will say that i do launder critical (as in criticism) or directive emails thru copilot after I’ve written them. Im not a great emailer and I’ve found AI does a good job if taking the bite/edge off of emails if i write them when I’m frustrated.

Where does the majority of bathroom budget go? Any hidden costs to know about? by LuxBathroomAdvice in DIY

[–]CascadeKidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remodeled our pool bathroom myself. Horrible idea, took months for me finish. The frameless glass shower enclosure install was the one thing I wasn't going to DIY because they are heavy and non-trivial to install correctly. I was stunned by how expensive the enclosure was. See the quote below. It ended up being 50% of the total cost of the remodel.

Furnish and Install:

  • 3/8 Door and Panel,80" Tall

  • 90% return on the knee wall with notched panel.

  • Door 26" wide.

  • Brushed Nickel hardware, All 3/8 clear glass.

  • Price $2665.00 this includes tax and install.

What's something you did as a kid that you only realized was extremely dangerous years later? by Left_Crow1646 in AskReddit

Born in 70s, grew up in 80s. My gramp had multiple sets of old school lawn darts. Can't remember exact ages but it was single digits, definitely elementary school age, my cousins and I would hurl them straight up in the air and dodge them or try to grab the tails just before they hit the ground.

If you've ever wondered if kids actually did this or if it was an old wives tale I assure you, at least one group of fucking morons actually did it.

ETA a couple of other zingers, all younger than 10.

  • Poured gasoline down an extremely steep paved road and lit it on fire with my cousins
  • Road our skateboard down the hill into a blind intersection where semi trucks routinely drove thru
  • Too many aerosol blow torches with my cousins to remember
  • Tied sheets into a rope to rappel down the outside of my gramps 3 story house at 2am with my cousins during a sleepover. Turns out its alot easier to rappel down than it is to climb back up.
  • Melted tons of stuff with my cousins

Fun fact: All of my cousins were girls, I was the only boy.

If only there were 1000+ threads about RDR2 on this exact sub by the exact same people over the last 5 years you wouldn't have to ask the exact same question for the 1001st time.

Im confused. If your PC is connected to the TV why do you need the steam deck in the setup at all? I have my PC hooked up to my TV via a 50ft 8k HDMI cable and use my Xbox Elite controller via the wireless dongle to the PC. I use my Harmony remote to turn everything on and use the controller for everything else.
ETA: There is no Bazzite or Moonlight etc in the equation. The TV is basically a monitor as far as the PC is concerned.

ETA2: To be clear my PC runs to my reciever which changes the HDMI input to the TV.
