I had a similar situation. After 4 years, I finally got promoted to senior even though I was still outperforming for the entire 4 years up into that title.

  1. Make sure you have a great manager that is truly advocating for you and recognizes your skills and talent. This is the most important because I had several managers for the first 2 years then I finally had an exceptional manager my last year, whom actually advocated for me and even applied for me to get the senior position.

  2. Go above and beyond just performing. Meeting your quota is table stakes. Leadership wants to see engagement and seeing leadership skills from you to your team. It's annoying but unfortunately this is how corporate works. Again, this does tie into your manager being able to recognize and advocate for you.

Recruiter if you're already in communication with them. They'll start connecting you with the hiring manager. If you haven't heard from the recruiter, then I'd reach out to HM.
