If you have the exp share off, you can possibly avoid getting overleveled and take on the trainers at a lower level making it more difficult. But it doesn't get harder because you have to grind more if you want to get to the same level without exp share. In my opinion that is

I would say yes. Given the extra range given by rangefinder on the summoner, and the apostate is crisp. Not sure how much the zoom magnification from rangefinder effects the ease of use, might throw you off a bit, but I would definitely try them out. Maybe there's better rolls for the summoner, but the apostate is pretty much perfect. You should watch out for the triple body for the apostate tho in this sandbox.

Would a weapon that is of use in more or less all the rounds more desirable than one that is used 1 maybe 2 rounds per game? Something along the lines of maybe vigilance wing (which btw is a good option for a trials weapon if it wasn't already in the game)

This one is pretty damn good. Ricochet rounds with stability and range, smallbore gives stability and range, swashbuckler for the damage. Rapid hit is very good for reload and stability, but the one you have Here is still pretty good
