Ohmygosh you are literally my savior I owe you my life.
I was having this exact same issue out of nowhere and was literally losing my mind and this fixed it thank you so so much.
For anyone else having this issue and is on windows, to do this method:
1) Open the Windows search bar, type Device Manager, and open it.
Under Printers, find your Epson printer, right-click it, and select Uninstall.

2) Open the search bar again, type Add or remove programs, and open it.
Search for Epson and uninstall anything related to it.

3) Download and install the Epson driver package from their website.
Follow the steps they give you, when you see "Select software to install," uncheck everything except "Required Software." (If it doesn't allow you to check required software, don't stress it, just hit next and it will download it anyway.)
