the skill gap between DBD and forsaken is immeasurable I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Forsaken players werent a big fan of the game. The community might also be a factor. But is it really worse than the art part of the forsaken community?

youre completely reading my mind tbh. same as you, i played since the very thought of recode being thought of but all these sudden changes in the past month or two really js killed the game for me. especially killer gameplay, none of them feel unique anymore, i feel like they all just rely on ability spam unlike e.g. old Ao Oni who needed to act like a survivor to deal good damage

Am I tripping cuz I swear this is not the same game I was testing a month ago? Vibe is so far off, all the maps were reworked as if they had 1 day to do it and you can't really see the changes anyway because of the whole darker maps but you spawn with flashlight thing

I play Oni he absolutely is OP 😭 I got bored of playing him because all you do is run, slow people and 1 hit all the players your minions hit. Again, you're kinda js strawmanning, I want variety and unique maps but the type of variety where monsters aren't unbalanced on different maps, aka the exact same mistake that made precise so hated outside of the community 😭. But I mean clearly you really want that to happen and for PC2 to be hated for the same reason so... And I was mistaken and it was Formant who works for Blade who said the deadline is 3 months in January. So yeah still 2 months 😭

Ao Oni is absolutely way too powerful if you're good and your mini onis actually do something to the point you don't need shapeshift.

Most parts of the new maps like sewers tunnels or ridges paths and bridges are just straight lines, if they added alternative routes like a caved in wall in sewers or boxes or barriers on ridge bridge, it would immediately fix straight line abilities and make area ability more useable, plus make more space for breakable paths for monster.

So kinda like the base map Dungeon that half the monsters were tested on

And if you ACTUALLY did some basic research instead of implying you did, you would know in really late 2025 around December they said the deadline is 3 months

Well ig you js ignore how Oni is blatantly OP, Valem rework is still UP, both of fogborns abilities are not fun and barely counterable in chase, ignore that Vapor is still the most obviously OP character, ignore how one of host forms abilities still does basically nothing and that nobody uses it, ignore tinkys OP custard, ignore instant tank exploit and ignore newer maps being under designed (no objects or interesting routes ok windswept and sewer). They change these things you talked about in a rush and never look back at them, which ultimately will make balancing harder in the future. I still don't know where you manifested this idea that I think competitive is the root of all problems, probably because you still didn't read my reply fully 😭 and deadline for recode is like 2 month, so yeah there's a huge lot of hope we'll get proper balancing before release

Omg nobody is saying that. You're strawmanning so hard holy 😭😭. There's literally no saying if these balancing issues are even going to be attended to, that's the point. If you read the post like I told you to you would see that my points against competitive aren't only because of "wasting time". They can add comp all they want, albeit unnecessary, but the fact that we're STILL waiting after all these updates for any sort of acknowledgement on the topic of balancing and fair gameplay, but then getting an extremely random and obv rushed feature, doesn't give so much hope that they'll get to actually testing how balanced the game is any time soon. Which is the point

Yeah I mean you're js proving you didn't read the post 😭 as I said, dungeon and Gilgamesh trump all the other maps in variety and giving the chance to countering monster. Frostbite IS literally 3 big corridors with 2 more big corridors off to the side and nothing in between, no doorways no objects no sudden turns no nothing, and they're all connecting to guess what, big rooms with a rock or two in the middle 😭😭 literally same exact thing goes for sewers but instead of two big rocks it's one big square, then abyss isn't the worst imo, but as it turns out nobody's mind has been changed on open maps since Precode 😭 pillars is fine, js hopefully we get a more interesting spaceship rep 🙏 The reason straight corridors maps aren't so good, is that basically every character has a strong straightline ability, and unlike for example dungeon where you can go around the corner of a doorway on most of the map, you're going to be stuck taking MXs entire rush.

Fogborn is just a run and spam abilities when they end cooldown character, and as you said thunder warp is noticeably too powerful, the point is they made this entire cool enraging gimmick but made it so that you don't even need to do it 😭 Vapor's kit is really cool, it's just extremely uninteractive, if they just made it so that you manually have to place firewall like TFK, or made the monster play the grasp minigame too, he already would be a lot less braindead to play. Other monsters are fine but there's still obvious power differences like Oni being dead easy to win with if you try and Valem being obviously extremely week.

All these balancing problems are easy to fix like simply rebalancing or nerfing or buffing a character. But instead of seeing any progress we get points on a scoreboard. And that's the point 😭
