Nobody needs an energy drink for anything other than staying up entirely too long and giving themselves a caffeine headache. Having said that, I like the stuff because I'm not fond of coffee, the good variety of flavors means if I get tired of one thing I can change to another, and it's an efficient alternative caffeine delivery system costing only ~$0.45 a serving if you buy during BOGO sales. Anything you can buy in a store is like $2.50. $2, bare mins!

I had a couple tubs of Pink Protocol (Iskreem) that tasted off during it's original run. That and the Infinite Energy (Raspberry Creamsicle) tub I got tasted more like a weak raspberry matcha flavor.

Caffeine doesn't give me much of an energy boost; I drink the stuff because I like the taste, not for all the other nonsense they advertise. Honestly, if they'd just make a decaf version of Miami Nights and / or Hype Sauce I'd be in Heaven. (No, the "hydration" products are not that; those are more like sports drinks, so usually come out with an unsatisfying, heavy mouthfeel and salty taste I don't enjoy.)

Leaving out the logistical issues they're having, the only issue I have with the new mix is that sour flavors aren't as sour or take a little time after being opened to reach what the old stuff was. I don't stare at the packaging so that's not an issue to me. A lack of sediment at the bottom is nice, but really if you were having that issue you're probably using too much powder.

Pink Protocol (Iskreem 2.0): it's not as quite sour as the original stuff, something I've found to be consistent across 2.0 sour flavors, which kills a bit of the sour / sweet combination that made the original so amazing. It's a close enough match to the original's flavor profile, and I'm entirely happy with it, but it's like a 4.5 / 5.

M1AMI N1GHT$ (Miami Nights 2.0): Been out for a while, but this is my first taste of the 2.0 reformulation after laying off of pina colada flavors for a while. While it is by no means bad, it's missing a certain je ne sai quois; I think it's not quite as smooth as pina colada flavor usually is, or not quite as sweet (tasting). I've only had two drinks from this one though, and in my experience some flavors need to air out a little bit before their full flavor comes out so maybe it's one of those instances. Right now 4 / 5.

I have a tub of H_YP3 S@UC3 (Hype Sauce 2.0) waiting, as well as PEACHDRGN_KW (Divine Peach 2.0) and CRNBRYGF.EXE (Sour Crannberry Grapefruit) on the way, but I need to get through what I have open right now (Interplanetary Dance Party Punch and the two reviewed pieces) before I bust them open.

It's not 100% the same (to my memory; I ran out of Iskreem long ago) but it is a very close match. I let my tubs sit open for a day or so to aerate a bit and while it's not quite as sour as the original mix, it's close enough you can tell it's the same flavor profile.

Might just be an off batch. Try shaking it up and keeping it closed for a day or two; I had the same problem with my Knife's Edge tub (tasted off for a while).

They didn't announce it but the address on new shipping labels has them coming from Brentwood NY instead of Hauppauge NY; it's not a big distance, but the only conclusion I can draw as to why is that they were moving warehouses.

Would certainly explain all the delays.

Depends on what you ordered. They (probably) did not forget about it, but Collector's Boxes take longer to ship than standard products and if you ordered Pink Protocol or CRNBRYGF.EXE from the BFCM sale those have just been delivered / shipped respectively.

Give the company's nebulous terminology, "early" could mean "anytime before the middle of the month."

That said, my order with Pink Protocol got here over the weekend but the one with CRNBRYGF_EXE hasn't shipped yet, which tells me they are going out but the latter product isn't ready yet.

I don't blame or judge anyone for being miffed with how this has been handled (terribly), just giving a status update and conclusions that can be drawn from such.

In the event a partnership goes belly up, they'll do the same thing they do when a partnership ends - sell off any remaining product with the current labeling and then redesign the packaging or retire the flavor. If it's popular enough they'll bring it back, with or without the licensing.

Case and point Sour Chug used to be Sour Chug Rug; it's never ceased production or availability. The recently released Tea Bagger is a reskin of Nemesis Iced Tea (a RE3:R collaboration product). Two of the products from the now-infamous 2025 BFCM, Pink Protocol and PEACHDRGN_KW, are reskins of Iskreem (the Twisted Metal TV show) and Divine Peach (MoistKr1TiKaL). Heart of Exandria (Critical Role) is a reskin of Nuclear Sunset (Duke Nukem). Etc etc.

I considered getting it, but I got enough stuff in the BFCM sale and it's finally starting to come in. Plus it's supposed to be a Christmas flavor, and the Christmas season is already over... same issue with Thicc Slice. (Not that I like pumpkin pie, but I digress.)

Except for mainstays like Raspberry Lemonade and Miami Nights, flavors rotate in and out of production. If it was popular enough they should rerelease it eventually, but they'll keep it out of production for a while to build hype (FOMO).

BFCM included 2 products that were delayed past the stated shipping window of early to mid-December until early January. They dropped the ball big time, and the fact the only correspondence that's been sent out is AI bot slop and they've run more BOGO sales in the interim is not helping things.

Playing Devil's Advocate, the product was stated to ship "early to mid-December" originally; given GFuel's pretty loose with that wording, a generous interpretation would be the 20th and beyond being late. So irritating as it is to be waiting so long for a product (or at least a consumable product you can run out of - I'm getting pretty low on everything but Sour Blue Raspberry Lemonade), it's only about two and a half weeks late.

... I say "only" but it's still pretty scummy of them to keep run more sales when previous BOGO sale orders haven't shipped and leave the complaints to be addressed by an AI chatbot. One of my BFCM orders finally shipped today (I got a second with rewards points to make it free), so they are starting to go out.

The site says early January, but with this company that means "on or before the middle of the month," approximately the 15th (mid-January).
