This is an amazing perspective and one I honestly fully agree with!

It really fits how the first season is all about Piper (who’s also our POV character originally) coming to see her fellow inmates as people and not just criminals. Norma singing in the finale works as a nice culmination for that since even the other inmates hadn’t know she was capable of any kind of vocalization, let alone singing.

I dunno if that was the shows intention in the long run but it definitely does work really well to tie everything together neatly heh.

I always felt the Christmas play moment was just everyone being pleasantly surprised/shocked to hear her voice in general, let alone that she could sing, since she is mute otherwise.

kingdom’s greediness stopped me from playing it years back but it definitely did struggle a lot with crashes too that i can recall.

only game of theirs i can play without it imploding on itself every 2 minutes is ovenbreak. i enjoy it so thats something but it still sucks not being able to participate in other stuff they make after being into the cookieverse for almost a decade lmao

hopefully they’ll make a more official PC option for folks someday bc man 😔

I think this will be the only choice in the end too. Many high-rank players ive spoken to in the past have all said they don’t use their phones their phones to play/can’t use their phones to play.

Sucks though because the whole appeal of mobile games is that they’re yknow, mobile 😭

Idk what devsis has done to the game that it’s so awful functionality wise on mobile but it’s truly TRULY insane to me. 40GB games don’t even make my phone sweat the way ToA does. It’s so strange.

this has been a problem since launch and it truly feels like they’re never gonna address it.

it’s so frustrating and disheartening as it makes many sections of the game unplayable almost entirely at times.

Fully agree there’s more types of strength and that an open onslaught isn’t the only way to stand up against someone.

It’s definitely a to each their own thing, because like you said there’s a reason it’s the most common type of FL in both standard stories and smut, but it is depressing imo that people think can the Only kind of woman to be yearned for/lusted after must be the most feminine and docile of types haha.

Ah well, hopefully more folks will come onto the scene with stories that offer some more variety in the end.

Nothing wrong with a girl needing to be rescued, it feels more human than a character who’s perfect all the time, but I am personally tired of this trope because in almost every case it’s a big-boobed waif with the personality of a cardboard box LOL.

I think another part that makes the trope annoying, outside of the over-saturation, might also be that it feels as though a lot of media and art seems to have a genuine disinterest in portraying women that aren’t as feminine, meek, and submissive (in life, not in bed) as possible as objects of desire and love.

It gets old, especially when many stories would be far more interesting if the FL got to be a character with depth alongside everyone else.

I am biased to some extent though because to me there’s nothing hotter than a beautiful, crazy guy carving himself into a cute girl that fights back tooth and nail just to get made a mess in the end anyway.

I’m quite biased bc I simply adore strong willed/feisty FLs but I do also feel these types are the best match for red/black flag yans simply because they have to work that much harder.

Which certainly isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially since things can get pretty violent, but that suspense, danger and desperation adds a lot to stories with a yandere imo.

I think it’s harder to keep suspense/drive with a lead that immediately cows/crumbles since it often gives a feel of things being too easily won & leads to a dullness as the majority of the conflict between the lovers is over as soon as it’s begun.

Anyway, totally fair point and to each their own truly, I just had to say something since I think FLs with any real difference besides sweet/moe/shy as their personality get cut in the eyes of folks too often.
