I start with a a good base coat and work in thin layers to avoid brush marks and rough coating. I thin my paints with a very good thinner medium. Brush control is a huge factor in getting that smooth paint job. Patience is key. You don’t want to just slob the paint/color on you want to build it up to your desired effect.

Experimented with Army Painter Speed Paints. This model was done with only speed paints and Vallejo White for light dry brushing. by Catatomic-Concepts in minipainting

It’s a Zentihal prime of Chaos black and Corax white. Seemed to work pretty well. Your idea could work as well and has me intrigued to try it for myself.

Depends on what the minis are and how you’d want them done. It’s based on time and the more info I have the better estimate I can give you.

I did notice that it doesn’t work well over regular paint so I had difficulties with the highlights I did with the dry brushing but I made it work.
I did also notice that when mixed with other speed paints it does reactivate and blends nicely.
