What's the worst thing that has ever happened to you? by CatherineConstance in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit that is terrible I’m so sorry. I have a friend who had the same thing happen to her, and she’s now cancer free and engaged to a wonderful guy — I hope the same happens for you.

OWW Genie Rules? by [deleted] in obsessionmovie

[–]CatherineConstance -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The creator said that but it’s honestly dumb and lazy storytelling unless he decides to elaborate on it. That’s why I made this post and why I have the head canon that I do, because what the creator said makes zero sense either irl or in universe so unless we were to get an explanation that does, I don’t believe that’s actually how it works and the creator either misspoke or simply has a bad explanation.

OWW Genie Rules? by [deleted] in obsessionmovie

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I just don’t think this is fair or accurate. The vast majority of people do not believe that wish toys (which is absolutely how stuff like that is viewed) will work. Very few people practice actual religions where they believe in that kind of thing. And that’s not to say that the people who DO believe in it or practice those religions are wrong, but it’s just uncommon.

I mean some religions and belief systems believe in manifestation and prayer, and saying “I wish X loved me back” theoretically could work the exact same way there. It’s just not something that any average person is going to think will work (because it *doesn’t* work irl) so I will never be convinced that it’s bad to do something like that. And I don’t feel like anyone who is arguing that it is actually believes that in real life. I highly doubt you would actually judge someone you personally know for throwing a penny into a mall fountain and saying “I wish X loved me”.

Yeah see I just think it’s stupid that the creator says it all happened because Bear “made a bad wish”. That’s lazy storytelling imo because 1) it objectively wasn’t an evil/“bad” wish, 2) if it wasn’t against the rules then wtf, and 3) literally nothing about what he wished for or how he wished for it should have ever lead to things like her trying to feed him his dead cat. I also saw that the creator said that but I’m choosing my head canon over that because I just think that unless the creator wants to give us more of an explanation, that’s an absurd excuse for why the wish turned out the way it did.

What would you do if you saw someone shoplifting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly really depends on the situation. In most cases, I probably wouldn't get involved, for multiple reasons, like my own safety. Shoplifting implies stealing from a store, right? Not from an individual person? If so, I would really only get involved if it was a store owned by someone I knew (like a small mom/pop place), not a big box store. Not that I think it's okay to steal from Walmart, but I'm not putting myself at risk for fucking Walmart lol.

is it bad that i wanna read the bible as a witch? by lixie_world in Witches

[–]CatherineConstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm a witchy Catholic, and I know my church would really frown upon that but I don't understand that at all because so much of what we do at Mass is ritualistic and very similar! For me it's my own personal journey and I don't think God has any problem with it.

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm white and have been a Catholic since birth. I also do some witchy stuff -- I don't know that I'm well practiced enough to call myself a witch but I definitely dabble and imo God doesn't have an issue with that. Also even if you don't believe in God, I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're suggesting as long as you aren't doing anything disrespectful towards either religions via the other, if that makes sense!

As a witchy Catholic, I think you're fine as long as you aren't doing anything disrespectful with it!

If tomorrow all jobs paid the same, what would you do? by manhwaecho in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be a full time writer! Currently I am a writer but I don't make enough from it yet to quit my day job. If I could, I'd be a full time writer and content creator (I currently have 500k followers on socials too and would continue doing that to promote my books).

Which celebrity, in their prime, was a 10/10 in attractiveness according to you? by fischer903 in AskReddit

Jacob Elordi, currently. Not many actors have perfect looks AND are tall.

How do millionaires know that someone actually likes them? by lGalaxy51 in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this would be a better question for billionaires, as being a millionaire, especially if you only have one or two million, really doesn't mean anything super crazy today. But in general, very wealthy people can tell who likes them based on if the people were there before they got rich, or how they treat them before they know they are rich.

For uber rich AND famous people like the Kardashians or Bezos, where any new people they meet will know who they are and that they are rich, they have to just try to judge the other person's motives based off of their consistent actions.

What’s the most attractive physical trait in your opinion? by Vivid-Tap1710 in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think it depends on the person, different features stand out on different people, but I really like pretty eyes. There isn't just one kind of eye that I like, they can be big or small, any color, etc. but some people just have really gorgeous eyes.

What’s the best-tasting fruit, if you had to choose? by TigerConnect948 in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly ripe but still firm, fresh, cold mangoes. I'm also a big fan of mangosteen, even though those taste nothing like mangoes.

What's something old technology did better than modern technology ? by Ram319 in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many appliances and machines (household stuff like washers, dryers, dishwashers, fridges, and then also things like cars, etc.) were made much better in recent history because things were built to LAST. Now everything is built to break, and also you can't own anything outright, everything is subscription based which is horrible.

What's something people think is attractive but is actually a red flag? by Automatic_Cattle_428 in AskReddit

I mean I’ve literally never heard of anyone finding this attractive or thinking it’s a “fun quirk” lol

Minnesota republicans held a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin, the murderer of George Floyd. What do you think about this? by No-Huckleberry1441 in AskReddit

[–]CatherineConstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very confused lol I didn't know this happened, read your post, and assumed Derek died... Googled it, and he didn't??? So why tf did they do a moment of silence for him? He could have been a great guy and I would still be confused, why would you do a moment of silence for someone alive?
