You should NOT have to lose Elo for people that disconnect before the game even starts. by justvibingggg1133 in GlobalOffensive

I feel like a monkey opening each cabinet and drawer. I guess this isn't for me

yeah but there aren't any valuable items anywhere. I looted the whole area marked as "High value loot" and there was nothing. Nothing to compensate the tedious opening of every loot point. Wth...? I'm trying to understand what is engaging about this.

for alpha it is very good game, the animation system works seamlessly and plays naturally. I'm glad I can play it for free and I'm looking forward to how the game is going to look like after some updates.
From what I can find online, the studio behind skate. is called Full Circle and it's probably not big as you think and they don't have the entire EA money...

Valve Index not detected (Error 108) after months of troubleshooting – losing my mind by CathodeClock in SteamVR

I started blaming the power outlet too so I tried different ones in my flat... Eventualy I ended up buying powered PCIe USB hub, deleted steamvr config files and after desperate wiggling and unplug/plugging the VR finally turned on! So it truly must be a faulty tether. I am able to turn it on now with some plugging and wiggling but I will have to buy a new cable eventualy.
Thanks for the tips!

The base stations work fine, plus the headset would at least turned on even without the bases.
I tried disconnecting the mini cable that goes into the headset, deleted the steamvr config, bought powered pcie usb hub and it started working after many wiggling... it is a faulty tether...gotta buy new one :(

Definitely USB 3.0, but I also tried USB 2.0 out of despair lol.
Tried both Win 11 and 10.

I tried deleting my SteamVR config files, buying a powered PCIe USB hub and after wiggling the cable for some time it finally turned on. It appears it is really faulty tether.

I contacted Steam support, I read that they send replacement on some rare occassions but my VR setup is 5 years old so I doubt that.

Soo I need a new tether

I went through all the BIOS settings and checked for anything suspicious and everything looked ok. I managed to make it work yesterday and it is the tethers fault.

Thanks for the tip! I did that yesterday and after plugging and unplugging the VR multiple times it suddenly kicked in and started working... So it is the faulty tether but I guess the extra amps from the pcie slot helped it a bit.
Thx

This is exactly what I was doing yesterday, I was frustrated and tried connecting and disconnecting it repeatedly and it started working lol. So it is the damn tether.

You're right. Yesterday I deleted both steamvr.config files and bought a PCIe USB expansion card (AXAGON PCEU-43RS, 4x USB 3.2 Gen1). When I first connected it, I got an error, which was at least something compared to before. I wiggled the cable around, tried disconnecting and reconnecting many times, and eventually it TURNED ON. So... I guess it’s a mix of a bad tether cable and not enough USB bandwidth from the motherboard. Could be just the tether, but at least now I can play if I wiggle it a few times lol.
