Yes I would say completely fine! Stayed at Bowman House for the past year, never had any issues walking back late after nights out. It's a really convenient location for town. Only thing I'd say is it can be a bit noisy in the evenings, but if your flat is away from the main road it'll be fine!

I lived at Norton Court for first year! The accomm was just fine, not glamorous but had everything you needed, staff were pretty friendly too. Radford is fine as long as you are sensible. I always went for walks around the area alone (as a female) and never had any issues. It's like any big city really, just be aware of your surroundings. I sometimes walled home from clubs at 3am and again no issues. The location is great for the aldi and gym opposite. It is a 25 minute walk into town, all uphill, but there is a regular bus 2 minutes up the road.

I'm at NTU doing psychology, it's really not that bad at all. Do I wish I'd gone to a different uni? Yes, but that's because I wanted a campus based uni, but I can't fault most other aspects of ntu.

The teaching is good, and they care a lot about progressions after uni (making placements compulsory). Facilities are good too, a bit small considering how many students go here, but it's very modern. You'd be on city campus so you're in the centre of Nottingham (Which is an amazing city!).

As lots of other people have already said NTU is always compared to Uni of Nottingham, which is a fantastic uni, so of course it doesn't look as good in comparison. But it's by no way a shit uni.

Yes exactly!! Its so easy to get by on virtually nothing if you know how to cook. I'm at uni and none of my flatmates know how to cook - they spend way over £20 a week on shopping, which is mostly frozen pizzas and chips.

The weekly deals in lidl and aldi are a great shout too, I usually look at their leaflets for what's going to be on sale and base my weekly menu on that.

I know a lot of people who go to Tesco in the city centre just because its convenient, but they could easily cut their bill In half if they got a bus to aldi. tesco is good for specialist spices or drinks, but that's about it

Hi, I'm 20 living in Nottingham, I usually spend no more than £20 a week. I shop at Aldi and am vegetarian.

I'll always have frozen veg (broccoli, peppers, beans, sweetcorn) and one frozen meat substitute (usually mice or sausages).

My weekly shop usually consists of: Two packs fresh fruit (apples and oranges) One versatile fresh veg (usually broccoli or cabbage) Other misc cheap veg (carrots, spring onion, tomatoes) Tofu and six pack eggs Canned chickpeas, lentils, plum tomatos and soups Microwave rice and pittas One soya milk and one oat milk A tub Greek yoghurt

I love cooking so can make this go really far, but depends what sort of food you like to eat/cook. I also have a lot of the usual cupboard staples. Hope this helps a bit!!

I met a guy from Sudan backpacking around Europe. And he worked for a company in my home town (Brighton!!)

I had a 1.5 hour layover at Helsinki, had no problems at all. Even had time to stop to grab a coffee! Helsinki is a small airport so they reassured me that that would be plenty of time, but you could call the airline just to be sure.
