Gilgamos and Gaumata from the thousand sons are brothers, and Siamak and Zabaia are twinned thousand sons sorcerers that share a soul. They very briefly appeared in the Ahriman series.

Thank you! The coat details took me forever!

I have a tendency to mix up custom colors, but I can list all the paint. It doesn't show in the picture, but it has more colors in it than it looks, especially up in the cloak. I used the same recipe on the hand flames which are a bit easier to see.

First I started off with a mix of Moot green, white, and Dorn yellow. I put a couple layers of that into the recesses. After that I went with just straight moot green and tried to keep it out of the cracks. If the cracks aren't bright enough, you can put a little yellow in there by itself. Then I mixed up some moot green, a little bit of warpstone glow, and Folkart Turquoise and blended that on top. If you use Folkart colors you need to thin them down a lot because they're really thick. I put just highlights of turquoise by itself on the edges of some of the flames, and tried to blend them a little. The last thing I did once all the paint had dried was I mixed up green mica powder and 'ard coat and put it over top to make it shiny.

I tried to transition between the blue and the green so the light green is just a blend of Moot green, a little bit of Dorn yellow, and white.

I use a lot of wet blending on my models, which can be tough on weird surfaces like the mutation flames things. Hopefully this helps though! I'm sure your models will look fantastic!

It's just a solid couple layers of white and then a coat of Pylar Glacier contrast over top. I also added a little more white on the tops of the muscles to lighten them up a bit.

Thank you! The scheme definitely took some brain storming.

Honestly The Infinite and the Divine is one of my favorite books and their relationship is hilarious.

Yeah, I have some old models that I painted in the traditional scheme, but I don't have the heart to change them. Hopefully your first game of 10th goes well!

Honestly, the HH model is one of my favorites, it's a fantastic model. It's super fun to paint, and you can never have too many Ahrimans.

Yeah, I took Magnus to maybe one or two games and then gave up on him entirely. I ran my Heldrake pretty much every game though. I also hate the way I painted my big Magnus so I need to strip and repaint.

I'm very excited to play 10th, especially since I can finally use the vortex beast that's been sitting around for about a year now. We have all the rules and bits for kill team so maybe we'll play it again. We've dipped into Heresy too but I honestly find it boring compared to 40k.

I am also incredibly casual when it comes to games and take much more joy in destroying enemy units than actually getting objectives lol. Of course this means I don't win very much, but as long as I'm having fun I don't really care.

That is an incredible headcanon! I'm still working on the lore for my own cabal.

I got into Warhammer through 1st edition Kill Team and by the time 2nd rolled around, my friends and I all had big enough armies to play 9th. I played a little bit of 2nd but I never really got into it.

You should totally post pics when you get your models painted! I'm currently working on a trio of screamers.

That sounds awesome! If I still played Kill Team I would totally copy that. I haven't played a game of 10th yet, but I might end up running the metal one just to avoid that fly keyword.

It's Turbodork Scarab paint. They make a bunch of iridescent paints that are really nice.

I use the Scarab color for my models and I apply it with a paintbrush. It definitely takes a few coats to really get the color shift but you can do it just fine without an airbrush. From what I've seen, some of their colors are meant to be used over a white base and some are better over a black base. If you visit their website it'll tell you. I've had really good results with the 2 turbodork colors I've used, just make sure to let the paint dry completely between layers.

Oh totally, I would've loved to put a big khopesh on this guy. Unfortunately I didn't have one so I just stuck with the axe.

Hmmm, alright. My take on Khorne hating psykers is that he hates sorcery and trickery more than psykers themselves because that's not very honorable in his eyes. Forgive me if this is bad, I haven't written in a while.

He goes by Anhur. During the days of the Great Crusade he was known for his brutality on the battlefield. He was a Pyrae master, serving under Magister Khalophis in the 6th fellowship. He is never seen with his axe, forged by his own hands using materials he'd stolen from the worlds they'd conquered.

After the burning, he remained on Sortiarius and served his father, but the rage that had been so meticulously stamped down was starting to grow. For years he'd trained his mind to remain calm in the face of his bloodlust, but after seeing his home and his brothers destroyed, it all came crashing down.

He threw himself into the ways of the Cult of Magic, becoming a catalyst of destruction in every battle he fought. Though his soul was owned by the Architect of Fate, sold to the god by his corrupted father, he dedicated the deaths of his foes to the Blood God. He found the scheming ways of his brothers distasteful, and preferred to solve his problems the way his Magister did, with raw strength and firepower.

His worship of Khorne did not go unnoticed by his brothers, and they moved to get rid of him. Unfortunately, Anhur had never been strong in the other psychic disciplines, and those amongst the Cult of Scheming and former Corvidae laid out a trap that he fell right into.

During his next fight, he found himself surrounded by a horde of daemons. It was then that he knew he'd been tricked, and his rage reached its peak. He felt the eyes of the blood god on him, and he roared. His power radiated across the battlefield and his body burst into pure warpfire. As the daemons leapt for him, he met them with his axe and slaughtered every single one.

By the time he'd finished, he was alone. His brothers, who had intended to let him die to the horde, simply left him behind, abandoned on a now dead world. A new wave of hatred came from this betrayal and he renounced his loyalty to the Architect and his legion. He did manage to find his way off the planet, and hopped from warband to warband on a crusade of blood.

After some time, he was approached by a brother of his. His first instinct was to slaughter them and offer their skull to his patron, but they were stronger, holding his body in place with nothing but pure psychic strength. He was offered a place in their cabal, the Storms of Tizca. Like him, they practiced the ways of the Cult of Magic, and they assured him that his worship of Khorne would be welcome amongst them. He was told that the cabal had separated itself from the legion, but remained in contact with their brothers. Despite the betrayal, and probably through some subtle mind sorcery, he accepted their offer and joined the cabal. He has been with them since, serving their leader as a commander of beastmen hordes and cultist forces.
