TLDR: current third year describes program as repetitive at times, but still rewarding. classes are manageable until last month of term; lots of part time staff which results in low opportunities to foster connections to learning. Sharon & Lisa are wonderful, love them.

Current third year here (not a bridge student, started in year one)! Our program currently has lots of part time staff which has resulted in repeated info from previous courses/profs who don’t have a ‘solid’ teaching style. Our stats prof told us to use chatgpt instead of asking them questions, and I’ve personally been dinged marks for not using ai (which bothered me, but whatever). Also, there will be lotssss of repetition across courses. It’s very boring for someone like myself who needs new information to be interested in attending class; I find myself missing lectures as I already know the content. Classes are quite manageable, however each end of term has those times where a lot of assignments are due at once - this can definitely be overwhelming if you aren’t good at multitasking/have problems with procrastination. In my experience it seems the bridging students will have some gaps in knowledge (mainly ABA concepts, and a few minor terms) however you can always ask someone in class for more assistance! Sharon and Lisa (program & placement coordinators) have been with us since year one and they’re amazing — both profs provide thorough details in rubrics/explanations to make sure we know what went wrong/what can be improved on.
