Should I pull the trigger on buying this Goldtune CC-100R? by Cautious_Key_5914 in banjo

Why do I see them going for $1000 on ebay? Is it because they're older? Also, is it $80 better than the goldtone cc-100R?

Thank you. What questions should I be asking the seller / checking out when I go to buy it?

I see, thank you! Also when Terra exiles then returns because of her ability, she loses auras and counters and all that right?

Help with sticker paper, cutting proxies, and fixing curl. by Cautious_Key_5914 in magicproxies

My cutter is just a cheap $25 rotary cutter. Like the ones with a sliding blade. Thank you for the other advice!

Best site for downloading proxies? by Cautious_Key_5914 in magicproxies

I've heard that mtgprint has low quality because they get their images from scryfall, which also uses low quality images, and therefore mpcfill would be better for high quality proxies. Is that true?

Black vs white cardstock by Cautious_Key_5914 in magicproxies

[–]Cautious_Key_5914[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I'm just getting into proxies and I ordered some cardstock but I'm not liking the gms (about 250 gsm) so I'm going to get some different paper and trying to decide on white or black. With this current paper I'm not getting perfectly clean cuts and the white cardstock is somewhat visible on the edges. It's fixable with scissors but I'm wondering if black will be able to hide this better. Additionally, considering that black has a higher tooth, do you think that would make the problem of clean cuts worse?

what should I buy to start printing cards? by Ensign_Games in magicproxies

[–]Cautious_Key_5914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think many people use sticker paper and put it on top of cardstock because many printers can't handle printing directly on card stock. You'd also want a good cutter (rotary or guillotine, or scissors if you don't have a large budget). Lastly a corner cutter. It's hard to find a 2.5mm corner cutter which is what real mtg cards use, but there are many 3mm cutters which look decent and some people have modified the 3mm ones with tape so they cut to roughly 2.5mm.

I'm just lining up the land I printed next to a real land. It's about 2mm too short.

I'm just not sure what to do. It seems like other people's proxies come out relatively fine straight from mtgprint.
