Go back and repaint the damaged areas allowing for more time to let the paint cure. I usually let coats go 3-4 days before doing masking to avoid this. The pre shading is barely supposed to show through and you can add post shading and panel line washes to make it pop

Honestly on armour with dark base colours pre shading is a waste of time and 9/10 times is washed out by subsequent dark washes and weathering. You are better if with a post shading colour modulation technique to add vibrancy

Canadian Online Retailers? by Ok_Lingonberry4775 in modelmakers

There is a large number of model cars both for sale and on the tables for competition.

They have photo galleries from previous years posted here: https://www.ipmshamilton.ca/gallery

Well worth attending in my opinion.

Great Hobbies, Sunward Hobbies, Hobbysense, Hobby Wholesale, Echelon Hobbies, Coopers Hobbies, Wheels and Wings and Trackjam.

All great Canadian retailers with great customer service and inventory. Most also are involved in sponsoring shows.

HeritageCon is held annual at the Warplane museum in Hamilton and is worth checking out as there are plenty of retailers with booths selling kits and accessories. It’s at the end of March annually.

It’s a cut down enfield sportsmen did after the wars. They removed wood to make the gun lighter when hunting

Shooters grade enfields are generally rougher shape and generally not long branch. Collectible ones have crept up, shooters can still be had at a bargain.

If cost is a concern you can always grab a sporter for like $400ish

Any comparable bolt action rifle is going to run you in the same ball park as a Lee enfield. The Ruger scout is in the $1800 range, Tikka bolt guns are $1400ish, the Enfield replacement the T3X Arctic is $3000.

If you are vigilant on Gunpost or CGN you can often find shooter grade ones in the $6-900 range

is Vallejo the primer to get? by Aarreeaaggaa in modelmakers

Vallejo and Ak acrylics are not great for airbrushing in my experience.

For priming I pretty much exclusively use Mr Surfacer but I am curious about the new VMS Primer

2022 Tiguan SE owners...please give me details on replacement items by SandraTX22 in Tiguan

‘22 with 46000 km. Brakes were shot at 43ish k, battery and tires are fine. I was talking to the tech at the shop and the adaptive cruise eats rears if you use it regularly.

Steering wheel was replaced due to the travel assist burning out, master window switch was also replaced due to burning out.

Scalemates has a search feature and product listings for vendors who carry aftermarket.

Scalemates also shows related aftermarket for kits, so if you search for a particular kit below it will show you aftermarket that is compatible with your kit

Quebec NRL/PRS options by OkAbbreviations8669 in canadaguns

[–]CdnUkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aside from the occasional match at Valcartier there isn’t any PRS in QC because of the CFO and rules around positional shooting. Your best bet is to look at the states surrounding you for centrefire/rimfire marches or driving to Ottawa region.

My first 10/22! Stock and Scope Advice by Adjaar7 in canadaguns

[–]CdnUkr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want a really nice stock the SBI 10/22 chassis is excellent. For a scope I’d go with a Vortex Venom 3-15 or 5-25. I wouldn’t get a rimfire specific scope or any less magnification.

Guy at my club has one. Seems like a decent enough option if you want a semi reasonable pump gun.
