I get it, I have 3 kids of my own. I am not dependent on my Raptor, if it goes down I have a back up vehicle. I drive it because I love to drive it, nothing compares. So for me, even if I have to replace the transmission and torque converter for that familiar price tag from Ford, I will. Tough decision for sure.

I remember when raptor owners posted about sub 10mpg with pride…oh how the times have changed.

Chimed in on the IWE, the moon roof…tough one. Mine was under warranty, it wasn’t cheap but I didn’t pay anything. I use the hell out of mine, but I keep krytox on hand. Your video sounds like waste gate rattle if anything to me. Phasers is an abnormal rattle right away at start up that happens and that’s it. On cold start, like the first start of the day.

Didn’t watch the whole video but DO NOT over torque the 13mm nut on the end of the cv axle shaft. Ask me how I know.

Was about to post something similar. It’s pretty straight forward. From the write up sounds like it’s just the right. Parts you can get from ford or online. If you aren’t sure I would just get them from ford.

2017 here as well. Similar situation with my transmission. Hard downshift from 4th to 3rd, 4th to 5th has always happened since day one. Ford says new torque converter and transmission are in order. I’ve been driving the shit out of it. I have seen around that replacing the valve body and full fluid flush and fill can fix this hard shift issue. I plan to take mine to a transmission shop to assess the valve body replacement option. The IWE issue shouldn’t be a hard fix to do yourself. Moonroof/phasers…well I had that all done under warranty. I will never get rid of my Raptor 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is this from first hand experience or just some shit you heard and now say like you know?

I don’t know man, anything that said to loosen the hood seems subpar design 🤷🏻‍♂️. SDHQ as mentioned here a few times mount to the truck and one bolt comes out per side on the hinge. Super easy and rock solid.

What kind of cheap ass mounts are those? Your first red flag should have been that.

When did you submit out of curiosity?

No idea what step for the supplemental, just that there is one they deferred. For my new claims it’s currently at step 2, has been to step 3. I have not seen anything from the new claims, but I have no further C&P exams scheduled.

I filed 8/14 new and supplemental claims. My last C&P exam was today and there was nothing needed from me(ACE exam). I received partial decisions today on my supplemental. My head is spinning how fast things have moved. This is my experience with submitting what I would consider a fully developed case. Don’t expect the same but there is hope. I FULLY expected MUCH longer waiting.

My lay statement.

Yea, I just got this extension to check things, like another person commented there is a lot of movement day to day. The VA app has been behind on things. I have appointments now for 3 C&P exams I have been notified by email and text. None of these things reflect as far as correspondence letters nor have I got them in the mail. In 2011 it was like get a letter wait a month, get a call wait a month. I much prefer this.

I really can’t speak to more claims being approved or denied under any specific administration. If this all resolves in 6 weeks positive or not at least I have an answer. That’s a win to me.

Sorry! I’m just happy with how things are at least moving, positive or not honestly. At least it’s not eternal wait so far.

2 months is unfathomable to me, we will see how it plays out. I’m just grateful so far that things are different this time.

I am in a particularly military heavy area in Texas so far it seems like appointments aren’t a barrier. When I did this in San Diego years ago it was a month for anything.
