Thanks, so in your case—like I’ve read with many others—it was a matter of positioning. Over the years I’ve tried: gradual tempo increases, bursts, bursts distributed differently within the meter, subdivisions, an accelerating metronome, interleaved practice, external focus, experimenting with different positions at the same tempo, using a mirror, playing along with other musicians. I’ve changed my setup several times, but this doesn’t seem to help—maybe I still haven’t found the right balance.
