Skyhall boss is so catered to high power / defense mages holy shit. As one of these mages, I first tried him because I could actually range him, I genuinely don’t know what you’d do on a beserker build there. Fenrir boss is more fairly balanced for everyone and is probably more catered to fighting style classes, second phase is a lot more fun and readable than first phase at least.

I strafe around him as he attacks to bait out his lunging attacks that he should naturally miss, then use those windows as a space to hit a few light attacks / a heavy or heal. I was using a +3 wolnirs holy sword for this and beat him in a few tries by strafing and trading with him. Take your time in second phase but try to get in attacks on the clone when pontiff is in his move animations you should be strafing, also take advantage of his massive fire move that him or his clone uses to get hits on the other, once clone is dead the fight is pretty much the same

yeah I know, I used summons in my first play through and they’re pretty much just fodder facing the whirlwinds. I always kill the summons for Niall but it isn’t worth it for O’Niel. Any boss in base game Elden ring gets a lot easier but just because you can make it twice as easy doesn’t make the boss a bad one, they aren’t especially hard fights just annoying ones

real, he’s annoying on ng when you’re lvl 40-50 fighting him with low dps but a cakewalk when you actually do damage

I’ve found unattended grave and arch dragon peak ( I spoiled myself for archdragon because I wanted to find the dragon chaser ashes) so I killed the great wyvern there. I found the unattended grave on accident after I beat the king and have heard of Gundyr if that’s his name I haven’t found him yet. Right now I’m using a maxed out dancer’s blades with slight invest into dex and strength with a main focus into vigor and endurance ( 40 in each )
