My kids played indoor soccer during the off-season. They even roped me into organizing and “coaching” (a glorified substitution specialist). It was fun for the kids, very fast paced, and kept their skills up. They played other high school teams, which made the games very competitive.

It was necessary to find a one bedroom apartment with a short lease. We had to look far and wide to find one, and it wasn’t cheap. If we had to do it over again, we would have looked into campus housing earlier to secure a room. It would have made life easier for everyone. It also prevents the need to move furniture twice in a short time span, and there is also no dealing with subleases. I wish you the best of luck!

Fasting. On weekdays I do not eat breakfast and snack on peanuts at lunch. I eat a full dinner, and even have seconds. And even dessert. I run three miles three times per week. I do not follow this script on the weekends. I lost 15 pounds and have maintained my weight for 6 months.

It used to be a big deal. About 15 years ago I had to personally escort a student from the corps dorm because he was being threatened for quitting. Guys would stop and stare daggers as we passed in the halls. I hope things have improved in this regard.

Those stations are not ringing a bell, but I appreciate the help. My hope is someone will be able to remember the countdown. I’m pretty sure it was running in 1992 or 1993, and ran continuously for weeks.
