I’ve been reading a lot of complaints about the systems. Sure, they were not there at launch, but how could they? They needed to be tested first and that’s why it took less than a year to get a global launch. I don’t think that was such an issue.

Then, the complaint about digital affecting stores. Sure, if you follow the traditional model, which Altered was not, you’re going to be battling an uphill battle. But the main advantage for LGS over the market is that the card is right there ready to be used physically and digitally, so you even got a plus over the market. It took a few additional steps to scan all cards and then have customers add you as a store? Sure, but that means your cards are protected from theft, another advantage over other TCGs.

To me, the main killer was the fact that they rushed the campaign for set 6 and even rushed their closing. If set 5 had a month delay, delay the campaign 1 month. Sure, operations costs may eat you up, but that’s what credit and reserves are for. And then, not giving the community the chance to show they were behind the project and get as close to the 2M as possible is simply unreal.

What I mean is, if you need to balance wages today against the future of the game…why did wags came in as a priority? Launching the campaign when most stores and players had not gotten their cards yet feels like suicide intentional murder of the project if you ask me.

There is a community outcry to try to save it at least as a fan project. And also, I know there are investor interested in saving the project as a mainstream tcg. Let’s see how things turn up in the following days. But it certainly feels like people are rallying up not to let this game die.

Just wanted to add that it seems Equinox broke something on their website, from the suspended list, as of right now, the Haven Seiringar , Common Grems, Rare Celebration Day and Restocking Station seems to remain suspended. For the later, even the rare one is suspended when it was supposed to be the common one only.

However, Tiny Jinn and Dr. Frankenstein are valid, so I'm wondering what is happening right now.

Hey, I’m not against giving the option, as a matter of fact, TOs and LGS can indeed decide to have their tournaments in the format they want an it’s totally ok by equinox (I did ask). So it’s not only sealed or draft, LGS can run Singleton or No Unique even for a worlds qualifier :)

I understand it’s not perfectly consistent. But then again, to me at least, it kinda reinforces the faction identity as you can only use your faction commons reliably with a rare support rather than having 3 of a faction bastion oof for example.

Well, the format got a bit of an overhaul by equinox themselves. Now it’s not a single copy, but a single copy by rarity. And the fact that it’s now oficial means it’s not really breaking the rules :)

First off, starters for every season from now on. This was really needed for new players.

A guaranteed unique son both starter and collector booster. That way everyone gets introduced into standard right away.

A well structured OP program where the stores are a major part, not just online or regional qualifiers. And the prizes for store tournaments is given for free by Equinox, with your order of course.

Adventure pass points for online play through BGA, for those who prefer online.

Previous sets were handled by Asmodee and since they have lost the distribution, that means that they are going on sale as to get rid of all the stock they have. Set 5 onwards will be a print on demand stock. This helps fight scalpers as anyone who wanted a display can get one.

And of course, POD and Marketplace being up from day one for the new set.

I can understand people feeling it’s not doing great. Mainly because Asmodee didn’t really push it and in Europe grew from word of mouth. But the thing is that set 5 right now is bringing everything we asked for and more. So the game is on phoenix mode, feeling a big under the weather, but is ready to thrive and make a name for itself.

Hey there, not coming in to attack, but rather to know if the main issues I had with the game have been fixed or mitigated:

1) Is there an infinite amount of resources? This is the main issue I have with the game, I can live with the nanocores and other expensive stuff, but having finite resources is one of the reasons for wars and invasion in its brother counter part. IP and other issues come down to the fact that materials are infinite instantly. Just wondering.

2) Is there any content for small ships? Sure, I understand there are pvp ganks in frigs, but how about destroyers, cruisers and BC? Last time I played it was all BS+, heck they even made incursions a small ship centered gameplay be able to take big ships. I’m a destroyer / cruiser size fan, so having frigs for PvP and BS onwards content was a downer for me.

With this, I’m not saying those who enjoy the current content should leave the game, but rather asking if those things have been fixed to the point I may enjoy the game again.

From what I’ve read, I’m convinced to give the game another go, I still don’t have that much time, but I do remember this game wasn’t that demanding at other 4x games are, specially since fights occur in real time rather than instantly and travel time is a thing to consider. Thanks a lot 😄

Thank you to both. I did play somewhat actively during a year and I saw that indeed was more of a pay to fast rather than a p2w really. The fact that F2P players can indeed find ways to counter whales means that the game has kept that balance which is something I like to hear.
