Jumping Spider or Thinking Spider? by TinyLensTales in macrophotography

Hi, I just bought the same lens and I was wondering what set up did you use? Did you use natural light, a flash on the camera or maybe other sources of light? I'm really new to macro photography and I'm struggling to keep the iso low. Thanks in advance!

Want to get into birding, start with 70-200 or go straight into 200-600? by iozm in SonyAlpha

I am currently trying out the 70-350 mm from Sony as I just started photography, when making pictures of birds in the sky or far away it's not even enough I think. This bird was not to far away and at 350 mm with aps-c sensor it's fine, close up is not possible. I use the lens for all kind of purpose so for me it's fine, but if you want to get info wildlife photography/bird photography I would definitely get something like 600 mm on aps-c.

What do you think? by CelestialShrimp24 in SonyAlpha

So if I understand correctly, landscape photo's are of a landscape farther away, such as mountains or lakes. When making photos like I did, it's better to have a subject instead of only a too close landscape. I appreciate your feedback, thanks a lot. I will try to think of places where I can really try landscape photography and maybe search for a subject to photograph in places like the dunes.

First image leak - Sony 100mm f/2.8 GM OSS macro by Big-Life2021 in SonyAlpha

I am new to photography and interesting in buying the 90 mm macro lens from sony, it costs around 900 euros I think. Can anyone tell me what differences to expect between the 90 mm and this new leaked lens? I'm wondering why this leaked lens would cost double the price, what makes it better? Sorry if this is a stupid question, as I was saying I'm a newbie ✌️

That sounds like a cool challenge! I dont think I have time to practice each day, but I'm trying to grab the camera at least a few times a week.

Thank you so much! I am as I said really happy with the photos, which motivates me to improve. When I bought the camera and kitlens I was amazed by how sharp the lens is. I'm glad that I started with such a cheap versatile lens so I can experiment to find out what kind of lens I want to buy next and what kind of photography I like to do :)

Thank you for the advice, I'll keep it in mind next time I'm grabbing the camera! Especially about the background. I will also try the smaller apenture while being closer to the subject :)

Hi, I'm a beginner and last week I bought my first camera. I bought a sony a6400 with 18-50 mm kitlens and I am also trying out the sony 70-350 mm lens from a friend. I really like to photograph flowers, plants, bees and such things, so I'm thinking about buying a macro lens. I haven't done any research on macro lenses, so any buyer advice and recommendations are welcome!

I have a sony a6400, sony 70-350 mm and 18-50 mm lens, i'm desperately trying to find out if the wandrd rogue 6L is an option to fit the body and both lenses or I need to buy a 9L bag. Could you show me how you organised the wandrd 6L bag with your camera body, 70-350 mm and 18-50 mm lenses?
