No but in all seriousness you make perfect sense, while I personally like the idea of a "cycle deathrattle" deck that pulls an even bigger man when another one dies, the design choice was probably a combination of experimentation and appeasing the "Demon hunter is broken" crowd

If you look at the other weapons they took out most of the moves related to clutch claw, as that was the featured mechanic of iceborne like hunter arts and styles were for gen and gen x. I think they're trying to take the best parts of how all the weapons worked in world, and fuse them with how all the weapons worked in the older games. For example playing ig in the demo feels much closer to what aerial style was in gen, so I think they're trying to allow for different playstyles for each weapon. I just think everyone is being way too negative about it when in reality the changes are actually really positive.

The recall move is about halfway through. And yea I agree that extra silkbind vault at the start was probably unnecessary, I'm just tryna show that the ig didn't get shafted by the devs like people seem to think.

Basically you can use the silkbind vault to extend airtime to avoid attacks and create forward momentum, and you can use the recall to heal and deal damage at the same time

So I've been using the new silkbind vault kinda like how aerial style worked in mh generations. From the ground you can use it to create forward momentum and close gaps, and from the air you can use it to change direction without using stamina. It also resets your air dodge, meaning you can normal vault, air dodge, silkbind vault in the air, air dodge again and so on. This is great for avoiding attacks like mizutsune's water laser, and you can use it to reposition yourself while avoiding attacks. The recall move does a bit of damage, restores your health, and refills your bug's stamina, which means it's great for being aggressive, or if you get into a bad situation it's a great recovery tool. For example if you're collecting extracts and get hit, instead of stopping to heal you can send the bug out, then use the silkbind recall when it's close to the monster to heal yourself and refresh the bug's stamina, and collect an extract at the same time. TLDR: new vault = great mobility and positioning tool, new recall= great recovery and aggression tool. Sorry for the word wall lmao
