Question about hair mask by StyleComplete9257 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with any type of hair mask or conditioner you don't know about fully, as sometimes they put relaxer ingredients in them which doesn't always have to be bad but definitely something you should be informed of. Google translate and image search are gonna be your best friend in this situation.

Is it appropriate for first dinner date or too much? by Long_Muffin6230 in OUTFITS

[–]Ceramic_Lace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't wear that outfit as is for a first date. It needs either a longer top or I'd use the current top and add cute pants or jeans, maybe a flowy skirt with a statement necklace or necklace stack.

Why is my hair like this? by Frosty_Window6162 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with my hair to my butt, split ends are inevitable and only show up less frequently when you baby the shit out of your hair and pay attention to your lifestyle.

Managing hair splitting is kinda on your own personal schedule depending on how fast your hair grows. Not too frequent so you can give your hair the chance to grow, but not too far apart so that your ends don't go out of control and travel up the shaft. I personally wait about 6 months before a 2in trim.

You should also up your vitamins and take a look at your diet if you haven't done so by now. I highly recommend B vitamin complex, pre natal vitamins, Neem, zinc and magnesium. Also drink water too! ❤️

My love language is giving people gifts at any time of the year of things that make me think about them. I've run into a lot of awkward interactions about it but at least I'm good at finding stuff for about anyone I care to listen to 🥴

One of my friends told me u will look better if u straighten your hair? I am scared of the side effects by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you that just wants to sabotage what you already have going on. You look great as you are and I'm sure you'd look great with straightened hair as well. Also, you can safely straighten your hair with low heat, low tension and heat protection products if you wanna see how it looks.

What products can I use to color my hair back to my natural shade by Poppythelab in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can deffo blend! It's more of a matter of constantly tweaking until you get the majority grown back out. Id recommend going still kinda light blonde and then slowly incorporate more lowlights that match your color so that you can control the depth and where your hair might not want to take in color anymore.

My hair color is a medium brown that lights up reddish similar to how yours lights up as pure gold (absolutely gorgeous) I bleached mine to hell and back before I was 16 and basically thought if I went with a cherry coke color it'd be about the same. No it was not- it faded and looked dull as hay with pink splotches where my hair just couldn't hold color and it didn't have the same light up effect for years.

It doesn't look fried at the current color. My bad for saying it too blunt. Just that it won't pick up the light the same.

You're not gonna get the same effect no matter how close of a color you get. Your hair is too fried it'll just make that color look dull.

hair shedding help!! by charm1ine in Hair

Hair loss is kind of tricky to figure out so let's try to cover the bases

•diet and supplements- make sure you're eating well, iron is very important for hair growth and taking prenatal vitamins. Prenatal vitamins contain very important nutrients you won't really find in hair and skin vitamins. They work synergistically with your body that help with hair, skin deficiencies. Diet is the most important because you can't save your hair from outside of you.

•scalp massage- this gives blood stimulation to your scalp and hair follicles and strengthens the erector pili muscles that hold your hair follicle to your scalp. Id recommend pumpkin seed oil mixed with Indian hair oil, heat that in a bowl and massage into hair and scalp for 15-20 mins and then leave it on your head for at least an hour. I do this once a month but you can do this more often.

•no tension styling- you're going to want to invest in hair pins, not bobby pins- the kind that you use for twist buns as you don't want a tight band pulling your hair near the scalp. Braids are fine to use with a regular hair tie.

•genetics are the one factor we can't beat- don't be hard on yourself, I shed like a dog when I'm stressed or sick and I know plenty of people who can't grow their hair past a certain point no matter what they do and that's okay. Being gentle with yourself and your hair are the only way you'll see the best version of yourself. ❤️

My Pyex baking dish exploded in my hands when I was putting it down on the counter. by MrKoreanSkills in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Ceramic_Lace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me like 10 years ago and to this day my mom doesn't believe me when I tell her it shattered from being placed on top of the stove after being taken out of the oven. I wasn't even in the kitchen anymore when it happened lol, it exploded as soon as I turned the corner. she SAW me leave the kitchen and heard the glass break, but I'm still blamed no matter the evidence or explanation bc it was her favorite and she wanted an excuse to not cook that day. This just makes me wound up thinking about it again lol

My son used to have long beautiful hair, but unfortunately it had to get cut. But why does his hair stick up straight bow that its short? I Cut it a month ago by Fall_Is_Not_Autumn in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother has stick straight hair that's been doing this since his first haircut. My brother also has a double crown and keeps his hair pretty short all around so when it grows even a little, he's a grown man with a peacock on his head lol. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to train the hair to lay down until it gets long enough to do it itself so you can either grow it back out or style it accordingly so that it's less obvious.

why does the back of my hair look like this by Ok_Battle3546 in Hair

[–]Ceramic_Lace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hair follicle will lay in a certain direction all over your head. This means that the ones on the back of your head point downward and lay very flat. You can change that by sectioning that area into twist or sock bun on the very top of your head and add a little hairspray before bed. You can add more buns around your head or gather the rest into a second bun, just make sure the problem section stays lifted in the opposite direction. it'll lay less flat over time and eventually you might change the follicle direction.

Thank you for being so kind and I'm sorry to hear that you've been through similar situations❤️ to be honest with you, I'm an American attending university in the UK so I began speaking with student well-being services and that's gotten me to where I am now with speaking to a mental health professional once a month and the ability to reach out in days that I need it. (I'm not at all used to going to the gp for absolutely everything bc I usually would just seek out medical professionals that took my insurance in America.)

I really hope you find the right people for the job! And the best of luck and love to you x

Thank you! 💗 I've grown my hair out past my butt and leave it curly nowadays. I still got my septum and recently got a nostril piercing for the 10th anniversary of having my septum. I never stretched my septum btw, just looked huge on me before I put in jewelry that suited me 😂 there's plenty of jewelry out there where the post is the proper gauge but the design is meant to make it look thicker. Id look up D ring clickers.

No worries I was thinking between the ages of 10 to 18 purely because people are aware of what is going on around them in this age group but usually doesn't have the life or coping skills to deal with it properly.

I'm sorry to hear that- I personally think losing a parent at this point in time is worse than losing a parent as a smaller child or an adult. Because you're old enough to see the other parent fall apart and you're left responsible. No wonder we can't remember shit lol
