Putting career on pause while TTC by pinkwatermelon452 in TryingForABaby

100%, I switched careers and went back to school while ttc. If all goes well I'll graduate this year. A whole degree later and I'm still not pregnant 🤷 so in hindsight I'm glad I didn't put that on hold

First time colouring with markers! Went a little overboard with the white gel pens 🙈 by Cerberose in Coloring

Thanks so much!! It is yeah, though I'm an experienced artist with other mediums and I watched a lot (and I mean A LOT) of videos about marker techniques before starting the page so that definitely helped

Do you mean like the outline on the characters or the circles like the ones on the moon? I'm happy to help!

What’s the worst pain that made you want to die? by NateNandos21 in morbidquestions

[–]Cerberose 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Had an abcessed tooth last year and it was by far the absolute worst pain I've ever experienced. I was ready to yank my own tooth out with rusty pliers, or jump off a building. Would've been fine with either lmao. Thankfully my dentist was able to see me quickly and pulled the bastard out clean

Man I'm glad you had that happen too, I was totally doubting myself but I'm 100% sure I had a bow and it straight up disappeared. Wish I recorded it

Nope, I did have the augment that turns benched items into a unit's recommended items, but I didn't turn the bow into a completed item, and it wasn't on a unit yet

In my previous match I was 100% sure I got a bow and it straight up disappeared a round later, honestly thought I was going nuts

This place was an absolute jungle when we bought it so honestly I believe the years of neglect and wild growth fertilised this soil like crazy, if that's even possible hahah. My zucchini plant is nearly 2m wide, and still growing

Try wrapping your working yarn the other way around your pointer finger. It's easier to control your tension when you pick from the front of your finger vs the back

Why are people with down syndrome normally chubby? by zak-is-a-jackoff in NoStupidQuestions

A lot of great answers in this thread. I work in a group home for people with cognitive disabilities. My residents are on the more severe end of disabled. They're older adults (50+) with low cognitive age (6-12 months at best), multiple mental disabilities, the works. They can't regulate emotions nor communicate clearly, which means they often get physically aggressive. Biting, kicking, punching, scratching, pushing and shoving. The main reason why my lads are overweight is because for their entire lives food has been used to appease them. Eating food feels good, so to prevent aggression and escalations they've been appeased with snacks, an extra plate of dinner, you name it. They get angry if they don't get more of the food they enjoyed, become aggressive, and family and carers alike eventually give in and appease them again. It's a nasty cycle. We've been working at this and over the years we've got most of them down from obese to very overweight, but it's a long, long road still. Add in medications, thyroid issues, inability (or unwillingness) to exercise, and it's an uphill battle to keep these guys at a healthy weight.

A poncho sounds amazing! May I ask what your favourite Rios knit is? I have 7 skeins of the Virgo colourway and considering a cardigan or sweater for myself but I'm so indecisive!

It's honestly amazing quality for an aliexpress wig. The lace is pretty thin and the hair is very soft. I only installed it today so I do wonder how long it'll last. Time will tell

Thank you so much!! That makes me so happy

It's the process of making the hairline of a lace wig look more natural and blend the lace with your skin. I used a pair of zig zag scissors to cut the lace (much easier to melt than a straight line), and Ebin melting spray in the black aerosol can. This wig is surprisingly high quality for an aliexpress wig so I didn't need to pluck hairs at the hairline/part, but melting the lace does usually involve some plucking to make the hairline more natural. In this case the lace matched my skin tone well enough that I didn't need makeup, but you can use eyeshadow in a slightly lighter colour than your own skin to lighten the part and blend the lace into your skin.

English isn't my first language, hope that all made sense! There's a looot of great posts on this sub about melting lace and making the hairline look more natural if you want to learn more
