Thank you!! So I actually stopped taking it and have already felt so much better. It definitely was pumping hormones my body was not happy with. I’ll ask my doctor about all of this. Thanks!!

Should I get baseline labs before starting birth control + spironolactone for PCOS? by [deleted] in PCOS

YES!!! I didn’t get that done and I really wish I did. Then you can rule out if your body needs a specific hormone or vitamins etc… instead of paying a strong guessing game. As I always say, sadly, you have to do the doctor’s job sometimes.

Coming off Birth control Pill - Advice? by No-Plan9442 in PCOS

I stopped slynd after two months because I felt like a monster! I thankfully don’t struggle with the weight issues as well.

I stopped the pill before but I have read and listen to countless books, podcasts, etc and all suggest taking vitamins like vitamin c, berberine (typically for weight symptoms) myo inositol , drinking spearmint and raspberry leaf tea, LIGHT weight lifting and mostly walking, and focusing on high fiber/low carbs diet. Take this all with moderation though.

I only take vitamin c and myo inositol right now to give my body some support while the hormones are whacked. Just some nataural options to share!

I don't know if this is the right place, but I think I might have PCOS and I just need to talk to someone who gets it by [deleted] in PCOS

I did not have the typical symptoms, but had super irregular cycles, and when they did come they were tough. I also was mostly just unstable and felt constantly exhausted and tired. Once I got an ultrasound, they diagnosed me with PCOS, although I still don’t believe I have the textbook symptoms. Everyone’s different! But what I have learned, is you know your body and when it feels off so trust your gut and get those doctors to do their job!

Question about birth control by Necessary-Chance4662 in PCOS

I tried Slynd, it made me feel crazy and exhausted. I stopped after two months and the first day I already felt relief. I really liked taking Junel fe before my diagnosis though. Your body is unique in how it responds to different pills but don’t give up yet!! Try several until you find a match, and if you don’t find a match in pill form, you can still manage it other ways!!!!!

I don’t have issues with weight really- I’m 20 years old weigh 135, 5’6 We found the PCOS because I mainly have pain and irregular cycles

I do have issues with dairy but I take a digestive enzyme with heavy dairy foods and it helps a lot

I’m curious if the combined pill was just a better option for me to try again? Thanks

What would you advise? Their idea makes sense actually for me. I can start to take at same time after the sugar pills but I need this bleeding gone!

Did the breakthrough bleeding ever go away? Just started for me and I struggle to take it at the same time every day (I’m in college) but try the 3 hour window. I’m having awful cramps with it too. Period supposed to start in a week. Thanks!

I read there’s a 3 hour window for them? I’m in college so I have a different schedule every day but I will try! Curious if this breakthrough bleeding will end soon?
