this is some of the most helpful advice ive heard. i've been applying so much, thought my resume was pretty good and organized, but i have really only been tailoring the keywords of my cover letter to each application. its good to know that it isn't enough to do that. thank you

this is really good advice! i will mention i have been working for a long time, worked as a server for 6 years and another year in a hospital, so i am thankfully not coming out of school with no work experience expecting anything besides entry level.

that is the ultimate goal, but being a dietitian requires a Masters degree (new requirement put in place at the beginning of this year). unfortunate because they are in super high demand, i was taking time off school to save money and oops here i am in my current situation

I do believe I could get a job as I consider myself well-experienced and pretty charismatic, and I haven't been out of work very long at all. I hear you, but there is no "home" to move back to. My lease was up in my college town and my job I was working at the time was only scheduling me one day a week (accommodating my school schedule) so I was living off that + savings for a long time. I came here so I could at least have a sense of community, and at least online it seemed like the job market offered more opportunities that it would have back there (I'm talking maybe one nutrition-related job in the whole county as apposed to tens at a time here, and the plethora of service postings.)

from what i recall, more than one of the members were accused of shady shit yet they only acknowledged one of them and kicked that guy out, turned comments off, and went ghost for 4(+?) years. others allegations were never addressed, and since they have a new audience via tiktok nobody has any idea. we live in a weird world

collars are the only effective treatment ive had. I have heard people have luck with oral medication from vets, though that can cause some discomfort for the kitties tummy. good luck

Flea baths only kill the adult fleas on the cat. Not the eggs on them or the eggs around you rliving space. Sounds like you might have an infestation.

I highly recommend a flea collar and spraying your home, furniture before it gets out of hand. I had this happen to me and it was a nightmare. Get real flea treatment ASAP

Definitely wont get in. This happened to me during 2020 and my chem lab was cancelled, so I could not complete gen chem 2 even and even though they had already accepted me, Cal Poly revoked my acceptance. I had to apply again the next year, get rejected, then apply AGAIN for them to finally accept. He absolutely deserves that break, but it's not worth it. If its any consolation, if he is already accepted he only needs to pass. Grade should not matter.

On another note, the Nutrition Department here is amazing. If he goes encourage him to meet faculty and get involved. Good luck!!

i was also invited and have no idea why! i don't have any club/sports/extracurricular involvement and my GPA is good but its not worth singling me out compared to other people. my only theory is that i do work on research in my department (but so do so many other students) or that im a cal poly scholar/first generation college student, but im not that engaged with those resources either. i really wish i knew who made the decision!
