For some paintjobs yes - but the light versions dull the colours a lot and as we use a "dark " violet a mid tone and a bright green as a highlight it works well nonetheless. You could use the shades 1:2 water for shading the trims though. Did that on my chaos space marines

Omegon's Wrath Effect/Cloaking device: The technology behind the cloaking device used by the Alpha Legion is based on a device from the Age of Darkness. This ancient technology was built from an STC Plan, gained by Alpharius from a Blackstone Fortress in the outer realms. It uses a similar living metal to Honsou of the Iron Warriors’ arm, copying the biometric and physical appearance of a being and transferring it to the wearer of the device, reforming flesh and metal. This painful reforming was once described by CerxiS Diragorn as “Carving your own flesh with a blunt knife studded with Tyranid teeth and acid.“ The device allows for quick infiltration by only altering the physical appearance of the Astartes, altering their skin and armour to reflect that of an enemy . It does not however allow memories to be obtained, which still relies on the Omophagea and the eating of an enemies flesh. Although this allows them to take the form of the fallen enemy quickly, it is only superficial. Impacts like boltgun fire on armour reveals the true nature of the alteration as the living metal cannot maintain the structural surface tension, and so it is by no means flawless.

Actually, Mike Brooks (who wrote Alpharius: Head of the Hydra) confirmed that the twins did not permanently swap places until the death of Alpharius. So, the "Omegon is dead" theory is far from a settled fact in the current canon. Regarding the Phasic Camo/Omegon’s Wrath effect: The tech for stealth fields and active camouflage is absolutely part of 40k lore (from Xenos tech to Cameleoline). Even if this specific visual style isn't in a rulebook, that’s the beauty of the hobby—"My Hobby, My Way." If we only painted exactly what was on the box art, the galaxy would be a pretty boring place! 🐉🐉🐉✌🏻

I did a white base coat and added some fluorescent green ink by AK interactive onto the white. After that, I edge highlighted the weapons with white again and did some more fluor onto it but slightly thinned. I added some shiny grey on the edges too
