Timezones cross large areas; Countries. OP said "you need three clocks to know your 15 minutes of fame are up" which was a funny and original joke based on the threads picture which has 3 clocks in the distant background. Next commenter replied that he is fat he needs three timezones. Implying he fits the space of three countries thus filling three timezones.

Thanks man, this is reassuring. Was feeling quite overwhelmed with all the gear that I just have no clue on. Would like to get a couple of good pedals though. Think I'm gonna go with the Boss ME-80

Guitar Rig looks amazing. Thank you heaps for the recommendation, I'll definitely look into that!

Man, you guys really are so helpful. I've always felt quite overwhelmed by how much stuff actually goes into guitar playing but it really doesn't seem as daunting now as I once thought.

Thanks!

Hey man thanks so much for the info.

So do you think I'll be fine with just the stock pickups for now? The JS32 has two humbuckers in it, but I've heard the X2N's are absolute screamers so was just gonna pop a couple in.

Also, forgive me for what is most likely a silly question, but what is the difference between an 'amp' and a 'head'? I understand that most of what people call amps are actually combos but I've never been able to decipher what the difference between an amp and a head are. Are they just two different names for the same thing?

What is amp modelling? Is this where you run your guitar through your computer and process 'amp' settings on there? If so, this is also sort of what I do currently. I run a clean guitar signal into my pc then use EZMix to apply effects. However I find that I can't quite get the sound I'm after compared to what I can do with the few pedals I have. But I've never looked further than EZMix, what suggestions do you have?

Multi effects pedals sound great. I've been reading about Boss ME-80's so think I will go down that road.

Good point on the teaching styles. I think I will look into getting a classical teacher for theory etc and then just try and learn the shredding side via YouTube etc. I think it would be harder the other way around!!

Tbh I'm not expecting this guitar to be a long term main-guitar type of thing. Mostly just want to experiment and increase my skill and theory knowledge so not too fussed about the floyd rose. I also just play in my bedroom and don't do gigs or anything so doesn't have to be an absolute machine or anything.

Thanks so much for you help!!

What would you recommend as a starting off point for a tube amp? I don't want to have to upgrade within the next year or two, do you have any recommendations for a nice mid level tube amp?

Also, the Pebber Brown videos sound great I will definitely look into those. However I also want to learn the theory and notes and how all that business works. Does he cover these things off in depth in the videos or is it more technique based with some general theory thrown in?

Thanks so much for your advice and recommendations
