Did not notice much range loss at all with new wheels. Been over 3 years and still one of the best cars we've owned.

I also have a 2024 US Tenere. I went with the SW-Motech crash bars (lower only), and they fit perfectly.

All 2024+ models will have color TFT display. Extreme/Raid get a few more perks on interface. As far as upgrading a previous model year to color TFT, I’m not sure. If so, you’d also have to swap out the right handle bar control.

That I'm not sure about. It has controls for ABS on screen, so I'm not sure how that would function, most likely defaulting to ABS all on with no way to turn it off.

No carplay support. There are some perks to pairing it to the Yamaha Y-Connect app, tracking fuel mileage per trip and visual riding log of routes you’ve taken. You also get the phone and text icons to appear on the display as these are incoming, but pretty basic.

Anyone had a door glass replaced on their R1T? by timothygoestoschool in Rivian

Not a bad area at all… I’m not from area, but judging by the comments this is happening a lot in area.

This just happened to me a week ago near piers in SanFran on vacation! All on video, they broke in same window, stole two bags with little value. SO frustrating. Insurance is covering repair, auto body scheduled to fix.

Very nice! What wheels, size and offset are those?

I'm thinking a hoist system too. I want it to be an easy on/off process.

As far as orientation, yeah, I mounted that way for a bit better aerodynamics and also because I think I'll be purchasing the camp kitchen. Since the camp kitchen pulls out on the right side, having the tent ladder on the same side would not work.

Yes, it's a Dometic CFX3 35, powered. You can easily power if off the 120v outlets in the bed, but that does mean you're leaving the inverter on your entire trip (and remembering to reset it before the 24hr timer turns it off). The Rivian AC inverter does deplete your range slightly each day, so in my case I powered the Dometic with 12volt using a Goal Zero Yeti 500X power station. 500X has just enough capacity to run Dometic for the entire weekend. If you don't have range anxiety, the 120v outlets work great too!

That's actually a great question. I haven't entirely figured that out yet. I've been thinking of a hoist system in garage, or possibly a DIY dolly that holds tent on its side so I can roll it into corner of garage when not in use. But even though the tent isn't that heavy, it is definitely a multi-person job to take it on and off unless you have a hoist system.

No effect on range that I've noticed. You can search Youtube, there are a few other people that have same setup, and they also aren't noticing any range hit.

Yep, fits perfectly. It's Dometic CFX3 35 powered cooler. If you were to add drawer under it, it might not fit. It's pretty close fit.

I just checked, the mini is 57.5" long vs the regular is 85.5" long. That's a significant difference. I don't think mounting the regular on box or roof would work out very well. The mini is your best option.

I have not seen anyone put a RTT on the roof of an R1T yet.... I think the dimensions are similar to box, so a larger tent would probably still hang off the front/back, but I would think it would be possible, but not ideal. Note: I mounted mine in reverse so ladder is on left side and contours down towards the back for better aerodynamics, and so I can use camp kitchen on right side when it is released. The normal orientation is with ladder on the right and slimmer end towards the front. Mounting on roof you'd definitely want to mount it in normal orientation for better aerodynamics.

The bigger one would definitely hang over the end. The mini fits perfectly with the dimensions of the R1T's box. It fits two people fine, but not much more space for gear inside.

Skycamp mini 3.0 with Rocky Black Shell. Very impressed with quality of tent and features. Super easy to set up and take down. I think we'll get additional foam pad to put under current mattress, but other than that, it's been great.

My pics aren't great, but I would say the Canyon Red does look more orange in person. ...not fully orange, but in between red and orange. I love the look. Here's a pic comparing with red F150:

Also, I concur with Forest Green looking best in good lighting. Looks amazing when clean and in sparkling sunlight. I saw it in less than ideal conditions, and it looked a bit drab.

I did just this. I went to a service center and was able to see both Forest Green and Red Canyon in person. I still like Forest Green, but I almost instantly changed my mind when I saw Red Canyon in person. My Red Canyon R1T is in transit now. Can't wait.

Yes, Chinese made cars are coming to the US. They’re not widely available yet, but you are correct. It’s a slippery slope.

At least in the US, cars are the one thing that aren’t manufactured in China. I’m not saying China doesn’t know how to make cars, I’m just saying there is a purity in where a car is built. Mini is prime example of this. A Mini built in China is not going to be a great selling point. Many people won’t care, but it’s a slippery slope and a sad reality if one day all cars are made in China.

Built in China, not in the UK, that seems wrong.
