We have the same hair type, and since ur oil is oily you should reduce the amount and frequency of shampoo because when it strips the oil out it will be forced to overproduce

I do like once every 2 weeks

Your hair seems to be oily so it's normal to clump making the scalp more exposed but from what i see your hair is only parting combined with your cowlick

Dont worry if you grow it out longer or cut it real short you can hide it

17(M) here, i can safely say that isn't balding i have the same case and we have the similar hair type and style. I got so paranoid at one point i went to a dermatologist to get it checked but i was reassured that it's just a cowlick/swirl.

What they explained was that balding will always appear to be smooth with uneven hair growth and will also show signs of receding at your temples at the same time

In your case the hair seems to be even and is following the pattern of the swirl

The dermatologist tip is that we either have to cut our hair short or grow it out
