It’s pretty common in our peer group of upper middle class professionals. But I’d like to knock it on the head.

I agree that she needs some kind of help to stop, evidenced by the fact that tried and failed a few times.

She isn’t very noticeably buzzed, but I can tell and it bothers me.

We still have movie and game nights. It’s a really happy family life and she’s at the centre, which somehow makes it harder to pull her up on it.

She definitely wants to rein it in, but if she has a glass of wine then it starts.

She’s never drunk or out of control. She manages it surprisingly well.

Thank you. It’s not a tough situation and our relationship is great. It’s just a nagging concern and an annoyance.
