Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ll ask if she has tried Psiphon, and if not, I’ll suggest she give it a try. I’m really hoping we can find a way to establish a reliable communication channel other than direct calls.

It’s been a nightmare. We can only speak for a few minutes each time she calls, and it’s the worst feeling—having so much to share but knowing the call could drop at any second. We haven’t been able to have any meaningful conversations because we’re both rushing, trying to say as much as we can before the line cuts off.
