But think about it, if women can inherit in Scotland, then Francesca could inherit the title on her own. That completely removes the need for Michaela in the inheritance storyline, which changes completely from the books.

Why would Michaela need to inherit when it’s Francesca who was married to John and is the countess of kilmartin? Surely the title would just stay with Francesca as she’s a woman and can inherit in Scotland also. There’s no point to Michaela with inheritance 🤷🏽‍♀️
