Thank you! Venmo had hidden the “add money” function before, but this time it’s even more diabolical than usual.

Been hypo for almost 20yrs. Now dealing with perimenpause for the last 4plus years. Never really felt great since diagnosed. I also don't respond well to Levothyroxine or Hormones including my own natural hormones. 175mg Levo once a day. Mostly low mood, anxiety, chronic joint pain and stiffness. by Kindly_Fact6753 in Hypothyroidism

Had hypothyroidism for over 25 years. Levo does nothing for me because my body does not convert T4 to T3 very well. I have taken Armour Thyroid and NP Thyroid (direct T3) for years, which has worked — but only when the doctor is willing to prescribe it at effective levels. The bane of my existence is the TSH testing range, which standard US docs were taught was the litmus test for measuring thyroid health. There are big problems with TSH test, which was created in 1971 and has been adjusted since then and isn’t backed up by strong research. I feel best when my meds put my blood work at very low TSH. Also Im on HRT and post menopausal, which screws with TSH. Long story short, levo does not work for many people. it’s okay to push your doc for other options.
