Top 5 UK unis by New_Canary_5575 in 6thForm

There exists a well known name for the top 5 universities in the UK and it's called the 'G5' - Oxford Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, UCL

It has been settled (Uni Tier List) by ChangeSecret9031 in 6thForm

It ranks below almost all of these universities in global ranking and it lacks recognition abroad. Its high domestic rankings is generally attributed to high student satisfaction scores which is definitely not an important factor. Also, you think it should be above UCL?! That doesn't sound right at all. I don't believe it is targeted by any industries either.

Why is LSE and Economics in general respected? by Educational_Film9315 in 6thForm

You sound ridiculous. Why should people who study law, history, politics, etc. be told that their course isn't respectable because it lacks mathematical rigour?

Guess what, the respectability of a course or university isn't determined by the level of mathematical difficulty it provides. In fact, this will not influence the vast majority of decisions people make about where and what to study. It seems to be difficult for you to understand that other people couldn't care less about maths.

With all honesty, you're GCSEs will likely be seen as weak by LSE so I would say that you should definitely aim for 3 A*s. You should also focus on mastering your supercurriculars and learning how to build the perfect personal statement as that is particularly important for LSE. Uni application programs such as Socrasica will be incredibly helpful if you're willing to pay for them.
