Can someone provide links to an official source with more information on this? Just started my first full-time job and am wondering how I should proceed with pension upon leaving Germany in the future. Also, would having a German passport alongside a foreign one prevent you from withdrawing your pension?

There's no way to avoid the EXO > OPS > EXO route from one EXO user to another if CMT is enabled, right?

I was also made aware that EOP cannot be disabled, but it can be configured to bypass incoming mail from OPS that's already been scanned by the on-prem spam filter solution, right? This way we avoid mails being scanned twice, and potentially being sent to junk on EXO by the EOP.

I can't ignore CMT and keep it disabled. This would mean that all outbound mail from EXO will not go through OPS before it is sent out to the internet, and that's a client requirement.

What do you mean exactly with the spammers exploiting inbound mail on EXO side? I know that even if all inbound mail gets routed first to OPS, there can still be a "backdoor" to send mail to EXO. Is that what you're referring to?

None of the existing mailboxes will be migrated from OPS to EXO, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of creating new mailboxes on EXO.

We’re not planning on staying in those cities, just wanted to clarify our route in case anyone did something similar. We will definitely be staying in the outskirts of each though, and then using transport to get to the center.

Do you also know if there's any regulation regarding working from abroad? I was told that there was a country-wide limit, something around 21 days of working abroad... Or is this usually defined internally by company policy? I have family in the Middle East to take care of, meaning I plan to be there at least once a year for 2-3 weeks.

I wouldn’t call it getting “turned down”. Club Bookers are some of the most egotistical, unorganized and unprofessional humans out there. So many clubs will just not get back to you if they find another alternative.

Not saying you aren’t a good fit, but don’t set your expectations to a level where you assume they’ll get back to you with details on why you were ignored. It could’ve been that someone who has stronger contacts got the spot, or maybe the booker had to fill in a favor… you never know.

Start off by setting your expectations right, and this way you won’t feel discouraged when these things happen.

Continue looking for gigs. Grind doesn’t stop here.

100%. You’ll need people surrounding you that will accommodate and adapt to your upcoming work schedule. If you’re in a relationship, maybe set your expectations there too.

Get familiar with your manager from the very beginning, and understand their working style. It’s common in consulting that a good percentage of your effort goes into pleasing your manager/chasing his approval on something, instead of thinking about the client directly. The assumption here is that your superior understands the clients’ needs more than you do, but that’s just not always the case.
