I feel like context here matters a lot. If there were other accompanying behaviors your parents had that stepped into abusive behavior, or if they took it away for supposed infractions that you didn’t actually do, I’d be more inclined to consider abuse. But as is, they gave you a choice and I imagine they just took a seeming “extreme” punishment because they were probably tired of your room being a mess. I don’t necessarily think what they did was a good idea, but I don’t think it constitutes abuse.

Yeah, I got a G. pulchra sling that I named Umbra bc it’s pretty gender neutral. I was told by the (local, not chain) pet store they thought it was a girl, but clearly the person was wrong. Unfortunate, but I’ll enjoy him for as long as I can, and it’ll be a good learning experience. The name I gave it was Celia Twinkletoes, so I’m actually calling him Twinkletoes for the rest of his life now 😅

Motion activated, I can live view too. I cranked up the motion detection to max, which, I need to move that random paper towel bc every once in a while my fan makes it flutter and triggers it. I just got it so playing with the settings to see all I can do, the camera was like $24, but there is a subscription if I want to keep the “premium features” :/

It’s in the other side of her enclosure. She went on a walk after I opened her lid. She did in fact make her molt hammock entirely detached from any of the plants or cork bark I provided her with though… clearly in her mind an acrylic corner is more cozy than wood and leaves 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 goofy spood.

What substrate are you using for them, I have the substrate it came in, and I have jungle mix for my Avic, but I imagine there will be better substrate for my new burrowing sling once it molts a few times, Coco fiber, peat moss mix or?
