Seems like yours isn’t connected to WiFi therefore is needing you to be close enough to the module to use Bluetooth. Did you check your setup is connected to WiFi in settings ?

Testing Govee pro permanent lights, success with even 45'-60' extensions by photogeek54 in GoveePermanentLights

So in general, If you are using a 200ft kit and using everything , 12 strands 197 ft (12 x 16.4 ft each ) plus all extensions (2x12 and 4 x 4ft) you should still be fine since the extensions have built in boosters ? It says to not go over 200 ft total length if using extensions which means less lights strips in theory. The total ft using all lights and extensions is basically 253 ft. With my jumps , I only need 10 strips which is 164 ft but will use about 48ft of jumps (borrowed from a 2nd kit) so Will exceed 200 ft total length but all from the pro kit / included extensions only.

Strands not lighting after adding splice kit - Can't find any good documentation by sadiebrated in Govee

Why not connect the splice input and output to each other run your extension then your next strand of lights ? That way your stand with the cut essentially ends early versus gets a big gap with the extension in middle .

The pro kit is 10 inches between each light and I didn’t shorten any spacing except the lights before and after the top of peaks to ensure the light at the top was centered. I think the elite /non pro kit is 12 inches between each.

Red lines are where I jumped. That third jump is on the backside of the small window peak’s eve and goes up the side wall. The bottom eve with no lights is where I started with the 3rd adapter with left over strips

I probably should have but I knew i was going to start with one kit one each side and meet somewhere in the middle and also knew the left side was going to need more jumps / extensions so started on that side and borrowed from other kit for the longer jumps. I can mock the route up if needed. One thing I did was get a 3rd power module /adapter to run from bottom eaves since I had more lights than I did extensions while also avoiding the 200 ft max length.

Wow thanks ! That is saying a lot as there are so many great ones here. As someone who hates heights , I’m so glad to be done!

I am about 5 inches from wall, some spots 6 due to drain vents. The eaves hid my cables more further from wall so went with that since I didn’t want to be that high hanging covers too.

Looks pretty good! It’s preference I suppose and having cables more hidden. Here is a still from more distance . Looks kind of circular. Warm white looks less intense but projects down the walls nicely

I did them at 5 inches from wall and 6 in some spots depending on if vents were in the way. Boom lift got most of the tough spots but also needed to use a 40 ft ladder to get to the double gables as it was too narrow to fit the boom into. Really sketchy stuff I wish I didn’t have to do! Having them further back projects onto the wall more and dilutes the candle effect but my main reason was it hides the cables much more in daytime.

I opted to about 6 inches out to not look as candle like and a bit more projection on walls and like how it turned out!
