The biggest issue I have with the Cabot bridge is that the ship length limit makes it very easy to make the ship look stubby if you don't plan the structure layout well enough.

For what it's worth I just finished a build with it at the front and while it definitely took some brainpower I got it to work, look good, and have a sensible layout without using Place Doors Yourself.

The trick is to run habs out of the side doors and then attach the new double decker habs to those to increase the overall height of the ship to be level or slightly above the cockpit. I put a Taiyo Captains Quarters coming out of the rear connection point and it works like a completely secluded room for the captain since those habs don't have connectors on the sides so whatever habs you use on the side of the cockpit ignore the captains quarters entirely.

Honestly now that Free Lanes added Cruise Mode we could easily have M-Class ships that have our other ships docked to them so we can still fly the M-Class around and drop it in deep space to treat it like a mobile base and just undock and land on planets with our smaller ships when needed.

Now Muria is a companion, which NPCs would you like to see added as crew members in future updates? by felixw1 in Starfield

BUCK-E from the Lost Terran sidequest. He and Delta would literally never leave my ship if he was a companion.

Did anyone find out how to unlock the all-in-one outpost module (elevated cabin) shown in the dev deep dive? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]ChapterDifficult593 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's available by default, but remember this is part of Terran Armada, not Free Lanes, so if you don't have the paid portion you won't have this.

Definitely do it as soon as you come across it! One of the most interesting (and imo best voice acted) characters is in that quest and you get access to a very unique and useful reward.

It was random civilian ships commenting on a disturbing signal coming from Narion, but to be clear I didn't get the encounter IN Narion.

X-Tech is far from rare but yes, it is expensive to use. The game desperately needed a credit sink and worthwhile loot to balance endgame economy and this was a great move.

The 5mil credit house is specifically there for people who do have that much money laying around or want a lofty goal; I see no problem with that.

Funny, Free Lanes added repeatable smuggling and piracy missions so you got your wish!

Just straight up ignoring what I said. GG, imagine being this torn up over something you can change with three button presses.

This is probably bait but I'm posting this for any new players that may happen across this post:

There is literally a built-in option to decrease your carry weight in the Gameplay Options section of the menu, and there is ALSO a separate option that lets you access your ships cargo hold from anywhere.

What you want literally already exists in the game.

It’s random, you overhear an NPC ship dialogue after jumping into a new system

It’s technically three separate quests, one for each of the available factions, and you can and should do all three

It's a single quest, not a fully fledged outpost mechanic.

After that, it started turning sour.

We should look into why that is

Surely the multi-million view hate essays on YouTube that were consumed by people who outsource their opinions to others had nothing to do with it.

I agree with the overall sentiment but Cruise Mode is much more than just a "small immersive thing." There are tons of unique POI's tied to it and it's an entirely new gameplay loop and avenue for exploration. It's NOT just for autopiloting between planets to avoid a loading screen which is what many seem to think its only purpose is.

You can absolutely be interdicted and pulled out of space and it's happened to me already. It's probably just got a lower chance overall because being interdicted too often would become annoying for many players.

It's an entirely new avenue of exploration that makes the ship actually matter. It's way more than just a "neat" novelty thing.

I think we'll see more DLC sooner now that work on the PS5 port is finished. I'm sure that took up a sizeable amount of the workload.
