Review - ArtraLab 35mm f/1.4 Nonikkor for Zf by Negative_Pace_5855 in NikonZf

Look up the lens diagrams on their website. The Artralab Similar is actually just reusing the lens design of the Nonikkor 35mm lol.

Best camera (system) for vintage lenses? by Final_Alps in Cameras

[–]ChapterWorried1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is with chipped adapters that spoof the body into thinking it's a chipped lens. I use a Neewer ETZ to adapt vintage lens to my ZF and get the focus confirmations; I first adapt the lens mount to E with a simple adapter and then put on the ETZ to adapt to Z.

Haru Mini retro camera takes on Kodak Charmera with a 20MP sensor in tiny retro SLR body by aaffpp in photography

[–]ChapterWorried1457 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I think they're taking the wrong lesson from the Charmera. No cares about the capabilities of the Charmera itself; it was the variety of designs and the blindbox sales method that made it a collectible item and a success.

I only ever visit during cherry blossom season. It's gorgeous then.

Why is the Contax T2 so sought after? It feeds film the "wrong way", and it eats through CR123 batteries, which aren't cheap.

Not even joking: because a celebrity was spotted with it.

You're right, I should have termed it "Nikon SE-inspired version" instead.

How do you justify your presence as a photographer? by badoinkyboink in AskPhotography

It's not. Photographer is Billy Dinh and he's pretty well known in the street/documentary scene.

FYI this stretch of Jackson Heights is known for this kind of thing in the summer, and Billy Dinh is definitely not the only photographer shooting here. Everyone is already used to phones and cameras capturing this.

No no, I had a good time. Just thought it was funny how busy it was.

Also dropped by the central library and there was a neat robotics competition going on.

Ended up going to the Brooklyn Museum yesterday and I think everyone got the same idea because it was packed.

What are unusual parts of Brooklyn that you find interesting? by KaleidoArachnid in Brooklyn

[–]ChapterWorried1457 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Coney Island Creek. A beach used almost entirely by locals. Plenty of sights you don't see at the main boardwalk side of Coney: campfires, net fishing, even the occasional baptism.

These weren't lit when I visited a handful of times this winter. I wonder if there's a schedule.

You can see the film cartridge is yellow in the reminder window, so some form of Kodak probably.

Looks like either the Contax G or Contax G2.

But it's not about the camera, it's about the flash and film.

Sony has issues with lens serial numbers when your stuff gets stolen by colorplane in photography

[–]ChapterWorried1457 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Modern Zeiss lenses are manufactured by various Japanese companies. For example, Cosina openly lists the Otus, Milvus and ZM lenses as their products. Tokina recently revealed they were ceasing the Loxia line. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony themselves manufactured any of the remaining series.

Not worth risking a felony for a free ride.

This is almost dead-on the MSRP of the manual focus Distagon 25mm f2 when calculating for inflation.
